All of Kaye Draper's Come Love a Fey stories are amazing. They are all short, fun little reads. I especially enjoyed this one for Kai's character. Also, I enjoy how the author takes known mythical creatures and really develops them in an unpredictable way. A must read!

A Nice Story

I was lost during parts of the book since I had not read the first two. This was billed as a stand alone book but if you don't have the background of the other two you will get lost. the flashbacks were not sufficient to help me understand some of the references. the book was well developed and I like how things twisted around each other. the narrator helped to bring the book to life. I will look for more books narrated by this one. I got this book via audiobook boom. I believe that as a continuation of a storyline it did the job well. Just wish I had read the other two before delving into this one.

Her story is entwined with the story of the land

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

This is a hard one because of the nature of the story.

In listening to the beginning I feel like there is a disconnect with some information I don't have. Yet at the same time it made me curious to find that information and answers to questions that arise to what I'm learning. These pieces that I wasn't 100% sure of fit because of the style of the story. This was mostly in the parts with Payne's POV, there is a reason for this. She doesn't remember anything before she was in the ruin of a temple she stays at. Farine's sections are more informative and helps with some of the gaps, though a few more details we can connect to what Payne's seeing would have been nice.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Lisa is a new narrator for me. I had thought I had listened to one story with her voicing, but I hadn't. Is it possible to over enunciate? I felt some of the words were overly pronounced to make sure all comes across clear. Lisa's audio is clean and clear as you go through the story.

The one thing I noticed at the beginning is the chapters were divided between two characters, Payne and Farine. In print it's easy to differentiate when it switches. In audio, it's a bit harder. This goes for all books.

I spent the book trying to put together a time frame in my mind.

An engaging, optimistic, slightly off-kilter, and hilarious romp. Guaranteed to sooth the spirit of kids who are afraid of things that go bump, while tickling the funny bone of adults who see the humor and the craziness in both Christmas and Halloween -- and family life in general.

The author keeps the action rolling while deftly switching points of view. The story gels at its own pace -- you are intrigued by the quirky take on holiday traditions, and the humor and characterizations keep the reader intrigued until the outline of the plot becomes clear!

they came to feel like a weird (weird in the fun way

B: or How the Bogeyman Didn't Save Christmas delivers humor with the kind of dry zing that kept me chortling. There were a lot of characters introduced, but as I read deeper into the story, they came to feel like a weird (weird in the fun way!) extended family -- and I have to admit that I fell for B.

The absurd ways how the real world and the fantastic world of holidays intersected reminded me a bit of Oz, and the animatronic villains running amok evoked a spooky Doctor Who episode. The creepy bits and dangerous bits were rooted in the kinds of physical and emotional peril that gave me a terrified thrill as a kid. I had a ton of fun indulging my inner child with this book, and it's going to be a hit with my hard-to-find-cool-enough-stuff nephews.

A free-wheeling romp of a story

What a great cast of characters! I love the vivid descriptions and the fast pace. The style reminds me a bit of Roald Dahl in the mixing of the magical and the mundane--the characters in the town are almost-but-not-quite your own neighbors, with enough off-kilter weirdness on the edges that will make you mistrust grandmothers and become unsure of what lurks under your own bed. The North Pole scenes are fabulously inventive and crazy.

All Kinds of Happily Ever Afters

Book three merges Aiza, Noah, Seth, and Sera's stories together.

It picks up right where Werewolf Baby Daddy left off... Aiza wakes up after the fight at the cabin to discover Dwight dead. She's lost and running when Noah shows up offering a little kindness and hospitality.

Sera and Seth just want their happily ever after, but when a tragedy puts a hitch in their wedding plans and the brotherhood interferes with their family everyone will come furiously together to end them once and for all.

Aiza will take back what was once hers and she'll finally open her heart to the one who truly owns it, Noah.

The Wolf Pack's Revenge gives you a little more depth into the characters and is by far the best of the three. It ties up all the loose ends in a neat little box with a happily ever after bow on top.

Yay! Longtails!!

Book 3: Absolutely loved Noah in this story (sweet, loving and protective). Got a better understanding of Aisa. Didn't hate her in this story. She redeemed herself. Yay! Wonderful ending!!

GREAT CONCLUSIONââ

This is the last book to this series and it brings all those questions to light. Yes, it can be read as a standalone but it is better to read the books in order. There is plenty of action, twists/turns, danger, death, adventure, drama, mystery, suspence, romance and love.

Imagine yourself waking up and not remember anything that has happen and there is a dead body in the room. What do you do? You run! What happens when you run?

Read this great book to find out what happens. I received this book for an honest review.

Will Seth and Sera ever get married?

Aiza wakes up and cant remember anything, but, when she sees Dwight dead she gets afraid and knows she has to get out of the cabin. Noah comes to her rescue when her truck hits a post. She tries to do the right things, but, somehow she is at a loss when her sister is hurt. Sera and Seth were supposed to be married but Sera has a medical emergency and Seth ends up in County lockup for the weekend. Aiza and Sera reconnect as sisters and come together to take down a very bad organization with the help of Stephanie and Noah.

Dreamwalker and Siren

Delilah, saved by Kid in book two, has been silent since arriving at the Flying K Ranch. Buck, the natural son of the shaman Quanto, has been walking through Delilah' s dreams to get to know her better. He doesn't know she is a siren or that her singing will enthrall him just as it would during waking hours.

He is angry when he learns that she has accidentally controlled him, but he is angrier with Jason for not telling them what he knows about her. As events spiral out of control on the ranch, Buck must sort through his feelings and calm Delilah's fears that she will harm those who have befriended her.

While this book is largely about Buck and Delilah, Kid plays a prominent role, and his story will be in book five. I have already purchased it and can't wait to begin. Since each book builds on the previous ones, I recommend starting with book one, Marshal of Hel Dorado, in the Sinfully Supernatural anthology, an excellent bargain.

A different ending then expected

I'm actually going to write this review on time. Just finished Buck and Delilah's story, it was a surprise ending for me. Guess I'm getting too use to the normal progression of plots. This book took a turn at the end that was very refreshing. If I say anymore I'll be shooting a spoiler out there.

This is the 4th book in the" Fevered Hearts" series and I'll be diving into Kid's story as soon as I get dinner made for the husband, for some reason he figures he ought to eat after he gets in from work. Doesn't the man know that I'm deep into this series? Husband's are like that. I started with Sam & Scarlett in my newest set "Sinfully Supernatural" and couldn't hardly put it down. So I did the only smart thing, I ordered the rest of series and have been buried hip deep since and loving it.

Oh well time to start cooking. Talk later ~P~

I am absolutely loving this series written by Heather Long. You can't help but love each and every character in these books.
