Something extraordinary is happening in our nation — and I do not say that lightly. Two things, happening at the same time, that have not converged in our lifetime. Let me tell you about both, and then let me ask you to do something specific before July 12th.

What if the most powerful prayer you've never prayed is the one your mind can't even form?
For years, I didn't think speaking in tongues was for me. I had been taught that the gifts of the Spirit were a first-century phenomenon — that the book of Acts was a transitional book, that the supernatural had faded, and that modern believers should just stick to "the Word."
I accepted it. And I dried up spiritually.
Then, God began restoring what had been stolen.

I have told the story often of a woman in my church in 1979 coming to me with her journaling, which said in essence, “the elder’s wife is a witch. She will not repent. I am going to kill her. You will marry this elder.”
That journaling was NOT from God.

Roger Miller, my co-elder at Pioneer Christian Fellowship, a church I founded and pastored 40+ years ago, spoke the above sentence to me when I was expressing to him how pessimistic I was about things.
He calmly said, “Leadership is automatically transferred to those who remain optimistic.” The statement pierced my heart as a prophetic word, as the Lord made me realize I could never be an effective pastor of a church or a leader in society unless I changed from pessimism to optimism! I repented on the spot and decided to change. That statement is now a beautifully framed graphic that sits on the desk in my office.

The following question was emailed to me" "What does Jesus really look like? Do I see in my heart 'the picture of Jesus' drawn by the artist, but that is the artist’s impression of Jesus. Is there anyone who really knows what Jesus literally looks like? Or can I imagine Jesus as a cross that is shining with light, or a very bright light shining down from the skies, or a bright shining silhouette of a man? If I picture Jesus as the Lion of Judah and I use images of a lion from a Christian website, am I not making those website images as idols? Kindly clarify, thank you."
Great question! As a reminder, the New Testament does say, "Fixing our eyes on Jesus" (Heb. 12:2), and "Behold I am with you always" (Matt. 28:20 NKJV). It goes on to say that Jesus is "the image of the invisible God (Col. 1:15). This means that when I see Jesus, He is showing me God in action. Cool!
So how do I work out this whole idea of beholding Jesus, of fixing my eyes on Jesus?

Have you ever sat across from someone and just known they weren't being real with you? Something felt off — the words sounded right, but your spirit sensed a disconnect. That's because human beings are remarkably sensitive to authenticity. We can detect the gap between what someone says and who they really are. And the opposite is just as true: when someone speaks from a genuinely honest place, trust flows naturally.
