    Unique
What did you love best about The Adventures of Emily Finfeather?
It is a freely imaginative parable, or rather collection of parables. It shows good vs. evil, how a person can be deceived by evil which can be attractive and charming. It even examines the concept of revenge and guilt. It would be good for 7 or 8 years on up, but as is frequently the case, would be best when appreciated with the guidance of a loving adult, an intelligent, perceptive, loving adult, willing to ask "Is this right or wrong? Is there a better way?"
To this adult it is a delight.
Have you listened to any of Simon Prebbles other performances before? How does this one compare?
Oh yes! He is always wonderful! He hits just the right tone and expression.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I certainly could enjoy it that way. A child might want to have it broken up.
    Any additional comments?
It is for enjoying, not for over analyzing. Though I did not always agree completely with the values, neither did I find them too unfortunate.

No one that is, except for one very special person who sees his act, just before Stanley mysteriously disappears......now the hunt is on for the missing boy.
This wonderful, warm hearted story, read by Annie Aldington, an actress with hundreds of audio books to her credit, will appeal to listeners of all ages. You won't be able to resist Stanley Butters - He'll melt your heart.

    Amazing
This is amazing. I listen to this every night. Great narrating! Annie Aldinton should write more novels!
    Butterly delicious
We're used to hearing Annie Aldington giving her talented best to the dark world of Martina Cole so her own first novel starring Stand-Up Stanley, an engaging and warm-hearted boy who loves his granddad and the magic of variety theatre at its best is a surprise and a wonderful treat. Aldington has created a cast of characters you come to care about, in a plot that's beautifully constructed in a novel that never once talks down to its young audience. I listened with 2 little girls who loved Stanley and would love more books about him and his friends.
    Variety is not dead
Annie Aldington is an experienced audiobook narrator and must have applied all she has learned when writing her own book to make it the perfect listen. It is lively and amusing but also intelligently observed and at times very moving. This isn't just one for the kids but excellent entertainment for anyone who enjoys a story with a heart.

My daughter read this book when she was 8. She did not want to put it down. There is sadness as the subject is the aftermath of a family dealing with the death of the mom in the story. It tells the story in a way children can understand with a touch of humor, serious nature and compassion. I'd definitely recommend this book as it shows the delicate family balance and how it impacts all of us.
    I think this book deserved a 4.
I think that because the book wasn't boring, it didn't go on and on, the author kept it interesting the whole time. I book had a lot of emotions because it was sad and it made me want to cry.
    My New Favorite
I think this book was very sad. But it was told with heartfelt emotion. This is now one of my favorite books

    Publisher's Summary:
Robbie McLeod has the misfortune to be orphaned at a very young age and is brought up for a while by his heartless uncle. He is also born into a difficult age, being young and idealistic, in Scotland, at the time of the Jacobite Uprising in 1745. That's when Bonnie Prince Charlie came back to Scotland out of exile in France, to claim the throne which was rightfully his. The charismatic Prince swept through Scotland calling men to arms as he went, and Robbie joined them. Robbie was there at Culloden, when the Scots were overwhelmed by the English, and Robbie ran for his life from the field of battle. And he became a hunted man.
Except he was still no more than a boy of sixteen. The English redcoats hunted the Scots mercilessly. Robbie hid in a distant and remote glen, and it was there that he made the best friend of his life, Charlie. Now, not everyone would be able to make a friend from a wild wolf, but Robbie did. And if you want to know how he did it, you will have to listen to this audiobook.

Review The Last Wolf - w Neal Grsy
This book was not as much about the wolf as i expected. Therefore somewhat disappointing. Was not as expected in any regard Points of interest were few and rather short on any information one would wish to know. To me not worth the time to read. 2 1/2 pages of summary & information would have been time enough spent writing and reading. I would not recommend this to any reader interested in wolves and how they are being restored in the USA or Europe. Anywhere actually.

    Review for Kenkall,.

    dog book
this author has never written a bad book. this is an excellent young persons read especially if they enjoy and love animals as the author does. the transaction went went well, it came on schedule as promised and in very good condition. the price was excellent as well, very competitive with store prices.
    Sweet story
I only have glanced through the book, but it looks like a good historic children's book. Sad though. Michael Morporgo's books are always a good read for adults as well as children.
