Edge-of-the-seat excitement

I enjoyed this book enough to want to read it again very soon. It was hard to put down because I always wanted to know what was going to happen next. Highly recommended although I think it could be sold a little cheaper.

Was very pleased...

I really enjoyed this book. With twists and turns everywhere I soon found myself stuck into the world of Knight's Haddon. I really enjoyed the mystery an suspense. Edie is a interesting character and you soon feel a attachment to her as she unravels the story of her parents. And I am very glad I picked it off my school library's shelf. Otherwise I would have missed out on a brilliant book. I enjoyed it greatly and you will too!

One thing is certain: the author has an unmistakable passion in this area. It becomes more evident with each turn of the page!

I was actually quite surprised by how much I enjoyed reading this book.

I do have an interest in animals, of all sorts, but I never knew that the presence of lady bugs were so crucial in nature. They are even regarded as being ânatureâs helpersâ, simply because they help improve and establish harmony within ecosystems all over the world. Also new to be, was the fact that they can be used in conjunction with organic gardening. Fascinating!

Also, another thing I really appreciated with this book was the fact that it came with a lot of wonderful, high-quality and educational photographs. It is one thing to read about ladybugs that have stripes, solid-colors, bright yellow shells, white and black spotted varieties, metallic blue, and even black ladybugs with red shapes on its back that resemble lightning bolts. However, it an entirely different matter when such descriptive words are accompanied by stunning pictures, depicting such marvelous creatures in their natural setting.

One thing is certain, the author has an unmistakable passion in this area. It becomes more evident with each turn of the page, and combine that with an excellent, naturally flowing narrative, you suddenly have a recipe for success.

This book also serves as a wonderful childrenâs book, anywhere from age 7 and up (although adults may find it educational as well).

Beautiful Photos, Well Written, Interesting and Well-Researched Information about Ladybugs

The author clearly has an in depth knowledge of ladybugs. This book is well researched, and the information is presented in a very organized, logical manner. I learned a lot and have a greater appreciation for ladybugs after reading this book. There is a lot more to ladybugs than I previously knew!

Another thing that I enjoyed about the book is that it's very well written. Many Kindle books are written by people who are passionate about a subject, but clearly aren't writers.

Amazing story - believe in unicorns

This was a really good book I could read over and over again and not get bored

Brilliant

Michael morpurgo is a brilliant writer this is a lovely tale that takes you in to a lovely town and it's stories. Defiantly worth a listen

HATRED of audio purchase

What disappointed you about I Believe in Unicorns?

The book is lovely. But DON'T DOWNLOAD the audio recording through Amazon. I only got it because it said it was a free credit and the cost of the audio is prohibitive. But it's a complete nightmare to get the sound file to transfer to any device, to say, listen to in the car. Amazon seem to want to make it as hard as possible, go back to the 80s, fry your brain, in every way. It's just designed to make you cry and to NEVER USE AUDIBLE AGAIN. I'd advise their competitor, even if slightly more expensive.

What could Michael Morpurgo have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Good Message - Great Graphics

I got this book for free after seeing it on the Kindle Buffet list. I was not familiar with the author but thought this would be something my 3 year old would enjoy. The story is one with a message about doing hard work, courage, and helping others. The graphics are really wonderful and my daughter has asked for this one every night we read and I don't mind reading it to her.

Little Red Hen is planting wheat and her friends (Duck, Cat and Dog) stand around and ask questions about what she is going through each step (planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, threshing) and she invites them to help and even offers them some of the bread she will make with the wheat and they make excuses. She leaves her hard work to help Goose when she is stolen by the wicked Fox and when the friends won't help she goes to Brown Dog on the next farm and he helps her. AT the end she., Goose, and Brown Dog enjoy the bread and she has to turn the others away and remind them of the excuses they made when she asked them to help her.

Another Sommer classic tale

Carl Sommer writes good old-fashioned classic tales in a modern way. Well written and illustrated, these stories are becoming favorites with me. In this tale, a hard working when is prepared to share the fruits of her labor for a little help in the fields. She helps others along the way, making new friends and saving the community from harm. When it is time to finally enjoy the bread she has planted, weeded, harvested and baked the lazy fair weather friends are turned away at her door, having learned their lesson. Good moral story for kids.

Good classic

I remember this book from my childhood but didn't remember the story until I re-read it. The story has a good lesson and is illustrated well. A fun read at any age!

excellent engaging story

The story line was very engaging for my 5 year old. Also, the format was perfect for an ebook making it easy to just enjoy the old familiar story without frustration. Pictures were very well drawn as well.

Little Red Hen

My 5 year old really liked this version of the Little Red Hen. There were some parts I did not remember about the goose being kidnapped, that may be scary to smaller children.
