Predictable okay story. Great Narration.

This was an okay story. I liked Kate more than Ian. The chemistry was okay, and the sex was nicely written. Not erotica not rated G.

The story line was okay. Not much of a plot. It was an easy listen and easy to follow along. There was a lot of dialogue throughout.

As for the narration, I am an Amy McFadden fan so I really enjoyed it. She does the men's voices very well. Everyone gets their own distinct voice. She reads with emotion and has a nice reading voice.

Great book and awesome narration..

This didnt have an OMG moment or mystery or murder or anything like that. It was just a love story. BUT I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. I think it was because it wasnt filled with inner thoughts or silly dialogue, like so many other romances are. This was simply about Kate, who was fired from her TV job and her fiancé who broke up with her the same day, and how it affected her. She went from a kinda frumpy employee to a leather-skirted, skin-tight bustier wearing, drop dead gorgeous woman, when her ex-boss saw her that same night at a club, and the affect she had on him, and all he went through to get her into his bed.

It was about his 11 year old nephew who lived with him and Ian thought he could make the kid into a baseball player or football player or some other kind of sports player but Jacob was not interested in sports. Jacob was a really good kid; he just didnt know how to talk to his uncle. Anyway, Kate began to babysit for Jacob and the story moved right along. It was fun and romantic all the way through.

It was really funny when Ian became Spike, Kates bad boy boyfriend. What a totally different character he was.

There was some seriously explicit sex in this book, AND some great sexual tension, so if you dont like sex in your books then you should pass on this. There was also swearing.

This was a free read and free listen and it was an excellent investment.

As to the narration: It was Amy McFadden and she is marvelous. Her voices are awesome and she reads with so much emotion: whispering, yelling, laughing, whatever is called for. Shes a terrific narrator.

Love, love, loved it!!

I absolutely loved this book. The way the characters are described brought their faces to my mind. I enjoyed the journey, got frustrated st certain turns, but Abigail Strom didn't disappoint this sappy romantic.

Could've have been great!

I would have probably given this book 4-5 stars if it was a whole book. The story was good, the characters were very realistic. I liked where it was going and couldn't wait until they finally connected but the way this ended really felt like the whole book was written and then torn into a few pieces and I only got a small piece. I'm sure if you read this story as a whole book it would be a completely different experience. Buying this in pieces just makes it the most expensive audiobook I'd ever own :(

Never again. I bought this book bases on reviews of the performer. I wonder if the glowing reviews were written by close friends and family. Her pacing was awful; an Australian accent was indicated but not to be found. She seemed to ignore natural punctuation and injected her own. Her enunciation was terrible. I'm sorry Elizabeth Meadows. I'm sure you're an awfully nice person but this is not a good fit for you.

Enjoyable story

Saving Forever by Lexy Timms narrated by Elizabeth Meadow was overall a good story and I enjoyed the characters quite a lot.

Charity, a women who has drive and smarts never wanted to be a doctor like her father. Instead she dropped out of med school and instead became a fundraiser for hospitals. She loved her job and worked for many different hospital. Then her father approached her to do an event for his hospital and as much as she hated the idea she couldn't refuse. In doing this event for her father she ended up meeting Elijah and wow was he sweet and sexy. Part one of Saving Forever focuses on the beginning of what I can only hope a wonderful love

Affair between the two.

With Audio books an important thing for me is narration and unfortunately I did find this narration hard to follow. I felt she was reading fast and lacked the emotion that the book needed.

Weird outtakes of the recording early in chapter 1

I'm having a hard time getting into this because there are snippets of other audio bits accidentally inserted into chapter 1.

It is good to see Tristan and Nina in their happily ever after. Tristan is still über protective, and Nina is still her sweet self. Wait for it...... triplets????? Yep that's the way it went. Yippee!!!!!!

Tristan and Nina Finally Together

What a great ending to a wonderful romance series. Tristan and Nina had some rocky events along the way, even when they tried to protect one or the other. Who knew it could be so hard to be the CEO of your family company and then be hunted by someone you thought was your friend. Oh well, it gives us food for thought. The romantic actions and steamy sex make the story well worth the read. I read this and listened to the audible version and must say the narrators really added to the story. When Tristan looks up and see Nina looking down at him .... Well let's just say it is hot. I enjoyed the story and will be checking out some other books by K.M. Scott. If you like romance and steamy sex scenes, this is the book series for you BUT you must begin with the first book in the series. You won't be sorry.

Christian Fox was a terrific narrator and has a super voice and technique for steamy sex.

Not Willet's best.

Struggled to finish this one. I usually love her books. I used to order them from the UK when they were first released and I couldn't get them in the USA. The story rambled and the characters lacked their usual depth. I found myself not caring about any of them. Was there anyone who didn't have an affair, I found myself asking. I hope this is just a one off. I will listen to her again.

Another Great Read!

Marcia Willett writes a consistently good story and The Sea Garden no exception.. Her character development and wonderful story carry you along with her into a delightful spot in rural England .Her descriptions of the countryside make you fell as if you are there.

I will be looking forward to MORE of Marcia Willet in the future.

Enjoying the series

I might listen to it again. To refresh my memory for later books or something. Over all, it wasn't my favorite story. But it was ok.

I do not put spoilers in my reviews. So I will only add that it was a good story to listen to. Especially since it was so short. It contributes to the rest of the series so far.

Also, I really enjoyed that there was both a man and a woman narrating this time. I wish more romance audios would use a man/woman team or just a man to narrate.

For me this was a very touching listen bring the past forward and overcoming it. One family with so much hurt and pain that needs to heal become whole. Willow has her reason for turning to food and adding the pounds she has finally overcome that in doing so she has walked not only away from her past changed her name but her family and friends. When her old college crush walks back into her life but doesnt know who she is as he hits on her she is crushed again. One night years ago she promised him everything she had as he turned and walked away from her. She never got over that night it changed her in more ways than one. Years later she has started up a new business, made new friends and lost a ton of weight. She has finally got control of her life or has she..

The author gives a wonderful story of overcoming, forgiving, finding one self, finding what is truly important as she gives you a story of pain, sorrow, as not only Willow and Nick learn to love but her family as well.

What I loved about this book was the humor, smiles the author gave me with wonderful characters. Each of us has a weakness just a Willow does she shows us it is hard work but everything can be overcome as we deal with issues to make our lives better. I loved Willow with her attitude, her love for life how she learned to deal to make her world a better place for her. She is strong but weak which makes her easy to relate to. Nick is totally a wonderful man overcoming his hearing loss trying to find a place in the world. He is a gentle man who stand up for his beliefs who is strong, protective, tries to do what is right even if it means he will lose the one thing that is the most important to him. I adored Willows father with his wonderful sense of humor always giving the ear to listen as he works his magic to give logic to his daughter. Willows mother was a trying character but I did grow to like her. I adored Willows friends they are so giving and protective of Willow. For me this book made me sad as it made me smile.

I absolutely adore Kamryn, she is so genuine, sweet and caring with her hidden southern charm. The passion she felt for Brody was addicting, and I found myself not bothered by his marriage, or the fact that cheating is wrong. I wanted KC to get her happy ending at any cost. Kamryns character was narrated by the amazing Emily Durante. Emily captured each of KCs emotions perfectly from confusion and anger, to pure bliss, her emotions were transparent. As KC is from the south, Emily gave her an accent, making her character fun and kept me listening intently.

Finally, a Somewhat Original Story!

What made the experience of listening to Unbelonging the most enjoyable?

I like that the heroine, regardless of her inner thoughts and turmoil, is strong enough to balance with the "alpha" male in this story. She has been through enough to keep it real with him instead of cowering and giving in to him when it really matters. Though the story lacks some depth, I will definitely purchase the second book, I have somehow become invested in these characters and I NEED to see how it plays out.

What did you like best about this story?

I like that Lawton, of course a beautiful, famous man, is not afraid to tell Chloe how he feels. The intimate moments between the two would have to be my favorite parts, They, along with most of the dialogue, seems real. I think many would say it was lacking in the depth department, but i think it was more like what people would say. No big flowery words that sound stupid coming from a man's mouth. Though I usually like my books WAY steamier, this one is a keeper.

What does Erin Mallon bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

Calm. Mallon's voice, though a little too much at times, brings a calm to the story. I would read through it and devour it, losing some of the story in the process. Even during intense parts of the story, Mallon's voice is consistently just... calm... without being monotone, and with a great male voice, too.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, only because of the negligent, snarky boss at the restaurant. Been there, dealt with that, NO FUN!

Otherwise, the CLIFF-HANGER ending is pretty intense.

I am more surprised than anyone who knows my usual preference in books, that I really enjoyed this book. I am itching for part 2!

Unbelonging grabs you from minute one and doesnt let you go, but warning this is book one of two but I have now read both. Im usually not a great fan of contrived drama but this book kind of had some.
