Expliquemos: Erasmo, como todo aquel que quisiera obtener educación y cultura en su tiempo, tuvo que recurrir a la Iglesia Católica, supremo ente cultural de la época. Sin embargo, se diferencia en que a pesar de ser parte de la Iglesia Católica fue uno de sus mayores críticos. Es más, a pesar de ser fiel a la autoridad del papa, Erasmo apoyó la Reforma de la Iglesia (sin estar de acuerdo con Lutero), y fue un crítico agudo de los abusos de los curas y teólogos, así como de la adoración de imágenes e incluso del papa mismo, lo cual es evidente en Elogio de la Locura. El segundo dato, el de su fecha de nacimiento, lo hace excepcional porque esta es una época de conservadurismo, de conquistas y barbarie (recordemos que la invasión del continente americano empezó en 1492, cuando Erasmo tenía apenas 26 años). Ser crítico de la Iglesia y sus costumbres en esa época era sinónimo de suicidio.

Excellent source on spiritual warfare

I loved the discussions on territorial spirits and how enemy spirits use culture. I also liked the amazing accounts of missionaries as they use their authority in Jesus' name. This is an excellent work to have access to.

The reader of this book was not that great. He mispronounced many words that were from Greek or Latin and has trouble with words of three or more syllables. However the content is excellent and the places where pronunciation was bad do not take away from the main message.

My Sheep hear my voice and follow...

Can say now I've been put in my place for sure...Can't wait to listen again...Needs to be in every real Christians home...

Much better than I expected just give it a little time

This book has a unique format. The first few sections had me wondering if it was a good purchase, but i have to admit that after getting through the first few nuggets this book is much deeper and more profound than I would've imagined. I highly recommend it to any and all believers. You won't be disappointed.

Get inspired and go make the right choice

I love Jeff Benedict books. This book is very inspirational and gives me hope in the human race. Having had cancer and fighting a very serious incurable disease. This reminds me that I have choices to do good and be positive in the face of difficult personal times.

Kirby Heyborne is a fine narrator, this is the first book i have listened to that he is the narrator.

Dive in and make the right choice.

Great true stories, unique style

As a fan of Jeff Benedict's writing, I have always known him for his hard-hitting investigative reporting into powerful corruption. This most recent book, however, is an inspirational (but still tough) look at the unsung heroes who face the worst of situations then choose to make good of it. The writing style is still uniquely Benedict, with actual conversations and scene descriptions that challenge the best fiction but this is all true.

These are very real people, suffering very real tragedies, who's choices made all the difference.

I first listened to the book on tape and then bought hardback copies to give away. It will change how you choose to deal with hardship.

Another Awesome Ride!

Bear has such a way of telling a story and engaging his readers. I love how he combines his surfing stories with scripture and Catholic faith lessons. I loved his first book and was completely blown away by this one! Real life story - transparent and hopeful

Would you consider the audio edition of Marriage on Mission to be better than the print version?

I liked hearing the authors read the book in their own words - made it feel more real to me. Since this book is primarily the story of their ministry burnout, marriage struggles, and path to healing and partnership I liked hearing it better than reading it.
