I have a special episode for you today. After working with thousands of video businesses since 2009 the most common obstacles are pricing and quoting.
So I wrote a book about it.
At only 50 pages you can read it very quickly and because I want you to succeed I'm giving it away for free.
It’s not enough to have a great reel and be nice to deal with if the value of the product you are selling or the service you are delivering, is not clearly explained to the client.
You have to be able to present the prices of your service offerings in a professional manner and overcome clients’ objections ahead of time.
The issue of presenting your prices has split opinion.
Some reckon that it is preferable to breakdown prices in quotes and present to clients, while some others believe it is as better to present a single ‘all in price’ price to clients.
Whichever school of thought way you currently subscribe to, this short book is aimed at broadening your perspective on how quotes are done and some of the psychology behind pricing.
Ultimately the goal is to get the client over the line and make you a healthy 20-30% margin on top.
Without that, you are just a glorified freelancer.
After reading this you will be several steps closer to mastering the business side of being a filmmaker.
