Benjamin Gladd and Nancy Guthrie outline principles for making sound biblical connections, tracing themes in the text, and avoiding common pitfalls of biblical interpretation. The New Testament includes 350 direct quotations from the Old, along with 6000–8,000 Old Testament allusions. Deep Bible study and the proper use of cross-references will help us rightly interpret both testaments in light of each other and better understand how all the Scriptures together point to Christ.
