I enjoyed this book
Not sure that the story was really believable but I enjoyed the story
anyway.
A new detective with an interesting family history, a dark secret that wasn't dark, and an interesting sidekick.
Despite this sounding negative, I really enjoyed the book and will be looking out for more Sarah Hilary books.
Thought provoking
This book is well written and well performed. It challenges our misconceptions about domestic violence.
Excellent
Great. Fab ending good all round storytelling and different look forward to the next book
just couldn't get into it at all
literally spent first 6 hours wondering what was going on.
then when I started understanding it, the story didn't engage me at all. listened to the end just incase it changed but it didn't.

This was my first Abigail Thaw but it will not be my last
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
the domestic abuse and control and the need to inflict pain saddened me.
Any additional comments?
The subject matter makes for some depressingly realistic reading but the story is very engaging and I couldn't find fault with anything
