In this week's golf psychology session, mental game of golf expert and author of The Mental Game of Golf, Dr. Cohn, responds to a question from Justin about his ball striking on the driving range verses on the course. Here's what Justin had to say about his game:
"I have become one of the best ball strikers on the driving range I have ever seen. I can hit shot after shot on the range when practicing when warming up for a round. I've been unable to take this shot to the golf course expect for one out of ten rounds. More times than not, what will happen to me on the course is my ball striking becomes a two. If it is a nine on the range it becomes a two on the course. It’s very frustrating and I think there s deceleration and over swing if that makes sense..."
