Out of mind, out of sight, right?  But I'm not just talking about trash -- physical waste.  I'm talking about all the other wastes in our lives that we tend to hide in the back: wasted time, waste effort, wasted relationships .  .  .  Perhaps if we kept our wastes in the front, where we couldn't ignore it, we might do something about it.

André Brisson has a special ability to simplify complexities and solve difficult problems. Like most entrepreneurs, André has started multiple companies, the first two of which failed for  various reasons. Learning from those failures, Andre now operates three very successful companies, including a self-managing entrepreneurial engineering firm specializing in niche markets that require unique training, experience, and impulsive instinct to try new things.

During his lifetime, he has maintained a hyper-focused interest in personal growth and strength identification, studying intensely to increase his knowledge and discover ways to apply these concepts to his team.

Recently André was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes, severe ADHD, and later Asperger’s  Syndrome. While his undiagnosed ADHD created challenges, it was also the key to his success. Since discovering how to turn his ADHD into a strength, people have sought him out  for help with using their ADHD as a strength to drive success.

Entrepreneurs Duane Johns and Dave Young want to inspire change in the home-building and remodeling industry.

Through their Builder Nuggets podcast, coaching program, and special events, the co-hosts are creating a community of builders and remodelers who want to collaborate and grow together. This duo is shifting the siloed, beat-the-competition mindset they say has dominated the industry for several decades.

Johns and Young are both recognized business coaches in the industry. Johns is based in Charlotte, North Carolina; Young in Ontario, Canada. Having helped grow hundreds of custom construction companies together, the pair launched the podcast in 2021.

In this episode, I talk about how to create meaningful relationships with people.  I take you through an exercise that was presented to my Vistage group recently by Steve Bobowski, the CEO at Dale Carnegie. It's a 9-step process that is effective whether it's the first time you're meeting someone or whether you've known that person for a long period of time -- a great way in less than 5 minutes to really get to know someone on a meaninful level.

As leaders of our businesses, whether we're entrepreneurs or executives, the people with whom we have the best relationships are the ones that are ultimately going to have the higher likelihood of creating the most trust -- and trust is one of the things that you cannot buy.

Josh Elledge is U.S. Navy veteran who became a serial entrepreneur who builds the companies he needs most in the world. In 2014, He launched UpMyInfluence to help entrepreneurs like himself attract the perfect audiences and grow their authority and influence. However, while growing their better-than-PR agency,  UpMyInfluence, discovered that building 7-figure B2B Sales Systems for consultants and agencies (with zero paid advertising) is actually what they do better than anyone else on the planet. UMI was the natural outgrowth of his first startup, SavingsAngel.com which had grown to more than 50 employees and grossed more than $6 million in sales with zero paid ads. In his seventh year as President of the Milwaukee Bucks, and fourth year as President of the world-class Fiserv Forum, Peter Feigin brings more than two decades of dynamic corporate leadership to Milwaukee’s sports and entertainment scene.
