Listen in as Trish, Andrea and Jess discuss the importance of incorporating mindfulness in our everyday lives. Mindfulness is a practice that looks different for everyone and can be used in a variety of ways. Jess met Trish at Etobicoke School of the Arts during a Tools For All Teens Workshop. Trish and Andrea are two sisters who founded Tools For All Teens, a wellness company with the goal of teaching teenagers how to live a more mindful existence with less stress and more balance and joy in their lives. They do this through yoga, mindfulness meditation and journaling. Trish having BA in Sociology and Psychology as well as a 30 year Real Estate career in Toronto along with raising two kids became a became a Certified life and Wellness Coach of 17 years and a Certified Yoga instructor of 15 years. Andrea has worked with the Toronto District School Board for over 26 years primarily focusing on at-risk youth between kindergarten and grade eight. Andrea has a BA in Sociology and Psychology; Bachelor of Education; Master in Education-Counselling Psychology; Certificate in Hatha Yoga; Rainbow Kids Instructor; and Mindfulness Instructor.

Based in North Vancouver, BC Morag Wehrle is a writer, musician, and mother of three who became a fierce advocate for perinatal mental health after her experiences with pre and postpartum depression and anxiety. Morag believes it is so important to normalize conversations around mental health in general, but perinatal mental health is especially dear to her heart, and comes with its own layers of stigma and shame. Conversations like this are a beautiful opportunity to reach out to others who may be struggling and make them feel less alone. In today’s episode Morag and Jess dive into some of Morag’s personal experiences with postpartum depression, in particular rage and how impactful spaces of community were in this difficult time for her.

She started her photography business when she was 18 and quickly turned it into her full-time job. The new business excitement allowed her to make the transition to full-time but quickly realized emotions wouldn’t be enough to propel her dream forward.
