  • #25 | Turkey Day Origins
Since I decided to not eat Turkey (or any other meat for that matter), as you could imagine Thanksgiving is an interesting holiday for me to be celebrating. We made it work with some vegan entrees and some epic side dishes while everyone else took part in the consumption of a historical bird. But why is Turkey the "traditional food" for Thanksgiving anyway? Is this a worldwide tradition? More importantly, how did this thing start and should it keep going? We talk about that and many other topics after our Annual Harvest Festival (aka Thanksgiving).

Follow me on Instagram to get all the latest updates and take a peak on my stories to see when we're going live the podcast!

Like I mention on this episode, we didn't eat meat this year, we ordered from STI Fine Foods, which is a Vegan Italian Food Company, yes! Check out their site and add anything to your cart then, at check out enter the code "theberardo" to get a great discount!

  • #24 | This Fitness Trend
Unless you've been under a rock the last 2-3 years, you've noticed quite a trend developing not just on social media but across the market, in grocery stores and fast food chains. On this episode I discuss briefly on this topic (that's truly complex) and give my take on why this is not a trend but a lifestyle. What are your thoughts, leave me a comment on our Instagram.

  • #23 | Time Your Eating
Almost as important as the act of eating, when you eat is important. When we were growing up we're told Breakfast is the most important meal and you should only have three meals a day. The last few years people say to eat every three hours and have six meals a day? Well, that's a little different. What's right and what's wrong? On this episode I talk about a few pros and cons on all that along with the new thing, intermittent fasting.

If you enjoy a good read, check out HOW NOT TO DIE. In the book a lot of different ideas are challenged on the American diet and the heath concerns of what we put in our body. Highly recommend.

The articles and information in this podcast were not written by me, so I recommend doing your own research and consulting a physician and/or nutritionist before trying any new fitness routine or eating program.

  • #21 | The Big Apple
We took a trip to New York City last weekend, during a beautiful time a year. We only spend 3 days in The Big Apple but we accomplished a ton of activities. I wanted to sit down with the wife in this episode to talk about her very first experience in New York City and over a couple glasses of wine this conversation went a different way.

If you want to know what we used for recording film and audio, check out my gear here.

  • #20 | Why Americans Are Sad
Why were Americans voted one of the saddest countries? After reading an article on "Why Americans Are Sad" which is linked below, I wanted to talk about a few points that are in this article that are very interesting. So I decided to break down the article and to give my two cents on why we need to snap out of it and be happy again, you don't have to do what I says but it's worth listening to.

    https://theberardo.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/19-Hangover-after-30.mp3

The title says it all on this one. After an unforgettable weekend with my best friend getting married, it was rough getting up this morning. At 33 years young, I can't hang like I used to and neither can my wife apparently. So I brought her on this episode to get her thoughts on the subject.

  • #17 | Friendships

  • #16 | Let Us Geek Out!
This was a fun interview, I sat down with my brotha from anotha motha, Nova Jay. This dude and I have a lot in common, we didn't know how much until we started chatting but it was fun to Geek Out for a little bit talking about wrestling, comics, sports, 90s music and a ton of other geeky stuff. Thanks for the time bro, we'll be doing this again for sure.
