  • #45 | My Birthday Thoughts

I go to into a quick rant on this solo-cast as I finish celebrating my 34th birthday. On this episode I talk about a few things I've accomplished this past year, along with some things I've learned...

As I continue to get older, I'm realizing we all have an expiration date and I think we should get back to following The Golden Rule and ONLY surrounding ourselves with positive people (and things) that truly make us happy.

You can visit the full episode on YouTube or if you'd like to listen to the audio version you can visit www.theberardo.com/thepodcast to hear all my podcast episodes. If you like what you heard, please feel free to share it with friends and family!

  • #44 | Climate Correction

For most of my adult life I've spent time researching the correct way to workout and eat but when it comes to our planet I was only knowledgable on the stuff I was taught in grade school but since then, the world has changed drastically. I realized I was thinking about the health of myself more than the Earth and I wanted to change that. So in order to educate myself on the topic, I wanted to talk to some experts about the impacts us humans have had on the Earth.

On this episode, I sit down the founders of The Volo Foundation, David Vogel and Thais Lopez Vogel to discuss their data driven research and how they're educating the youth of our planet in the simplest form possible. More importantly if we don't act now and change our behavior dramatically, in less than 20 years Earth not be the place we know today.

You can watch the full episode on YouTube or visit http://www.theberardo.com/climatecorrection, in the video David shows us numerous slides that are important to the subject matter we discussed on this episode.

Check out the foundation on Instagram or for more info or go directly to their website: VoloFoundation.Org

We plan to do another podcast with the foundation LIVE at the UCF Arena in Orlando, FL during an Annual Climate Correction conference, check out the details on how you can get involved by visiting The VoLo Foundation YouTube Channel You can also prebook tickets for this event by visiting: http://www.sustainable.ucf.edu/climatecorrection

  • #42 | Earth Day Every Day

Since Earth Day just passed, it got me thinking about this next episode. What's been going on with our planet? If you're like me you probably just live your life not thinking too much about the 3rd rock from the Sun but it's literally the most important thing in our lives.

When you just sit back and think about what are planet IS and how precious it is, nothing else really matters. So why aren't we as passionate about this as we are researching funny videos on YouTube?

In this episode I lay out a couple quick tips on how each of us can make a difference and hopefully help our planet thrive. Do your own research and do what you can to spread the word to help OUR world.

In this episode I mention my upcoming podcast with The Volo Foundation, which is a group of locals that started the organization in 2014 in order to help educate the youth of the world. Check out their Instagram and website for more information.

  • #41 | The Podcast Basics

Even though I'm not even 50 episodes in, I learned a lot about how to start a podcast and the "basics" on how to get started. I also talk about what audio equipment I use but you can view all that by visiting my KIT website: http://www.kit.com/theberardo

I might do a follow-up episode and YouTube video on HOW TO start a podcast. So if you would get value out of that, send me a DM or comment on YouTube.

  • #40 | Game Of Thrones Premiere

SPOILERS IN THIS EPISODE! Here's just a few clips of us watching the Season 8 Premiere of Game of Thrones...

After many people (pretty much the entire country) said we needed to watch GOT, we finally caved in to watch the HBO series about two months ago. So we accidentally binged watched all 7 Seasons of Game of Thrones to lead us to this moment...the Season 8 Premiere! Of course we had to record ourselves watching the first episode but because of copyright restrictions, you won't be able to hear the entire episode. However, if you haven't seen GOT just give in and watch it on HBO - it's totally worth the hype! ENJOY.

  • #37 | We Can Drink Again!

As a part of my many New Year resolutions, I wanted to pick one month to detox, like really detox!

That meant, no alcohol, no processed food, low carb, low sugar plus exercise more than I normally do (which is a lot). I extended an invite to my listeners to be a part of my #FitForFeb Challenge, where I'll select a winner based off of the total amount of steps throughout the whole month of February. If you want, you can view the challenge here.

It wasn't easy this month but I learned a lot and enjoyed doing this challenge with everyone. This entire episode is about what we went through and the benefits of detoxing your body, working out more and just having a goal in mind. Have you guys done challenges like this?

  • #36 | Be Kind, All Day

This is key. Sometimes we don't always think about it because we have a lot going on, I get it - work stuff, car problems, bills, etc. We forget that being kind is an important part of being a human being. Taking care of one another is how our civilization has been able to live for so long and honestly, we're not that good at it. On this episode, I list a few things I've been thinking about lately that if we all make an effort to do all day, it could make a hell of a difference.

You can see the full video on my YouTube channel or check out the episodes page here. Don't forget to subscribe to get all the updates when I post.
