Humming Fools

On this very special episode of Humming Fools, Noah & Kyle are joined by THE John Langan, a writer of contemporary horror and weird fiction, and winner of the Bram Stoker Award, which he received for his excellent novel "The Fisherman." Listen as John breaks down the history and relevance of horror, talks writing technique, answers questions from Reddit, and much, MUCH more.  Along the way, Kyle threatens Noah's marriage and Noah reveals a vast list of secret horse-sayings long hidden from the world. Give your ears a listen and be welcomed into the warm embrace of John's knowledge, humor, and humbling generosity. This is a good one, folks!

That's right, today the boys are joined by Sean Fitzgibbon, author and illustrator of the upcoming documentary-style nonfiction comic titled "What Follows is True … Crescent: The Baker Years.” Listen as Sean breaks down why he's drawn to unusual and real places, how he got involved with the infamous Crescent Hotel, and how he went about conducting research for his book. Surprise, surprise, we're talking about the Coronavirus–except plot twist, we're NOT. That's right, you've had enough of that! What you need is some POSITIVITY, baby! So we're gonna give it to you in the form of encouraging updates, delicious memories, and questionably accurate (but hopefully entertaining) facts. Keep your heads up, sugar loves. Things are rough right now but we WILL get through it. Breathe. Be kind to others. And wash your hands :)

Has hustle culture invalidated hobbies? Can you remain ambitious and "hungry," while also having fun and, dare we say it, "wasting time?" Does God sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger? How loud can Noah chew pita chips? Well, there's only one way to find out—you could use the Google machine OR you could listen to this episode. We may be biased, but we suggest the latter.
