  • Feelings The Thermometer Of Your Soul

Welcome to another insightful episode of "Humor: Your 7th Sense." I'm your host, Phil Sorentino, joined by my brilliant partner and the brains behind our company, Susan Sorentino. Today, we're delving into a profound aspect of human experience - our feelings.

We often hear people say, "You shouldn't feel that way," but let's challenge that notion. Your feelings are the thermometer of your soul, and denying them is like ignoring the gas gauge in your car. It won't get you very far. So, always honor your feelings, no matter where they fall on the emotional spectrum.

We explore the fascinating concept of the 22-point emotional guidance scale from the book "Ask and It Is Given" by Esther and Jerry Hicks. From contentment to boredom to blame, it's a journey through the array of emotions we all experience. The key is understanding where you are emotionally and deciding whether you want to go up the scale, stay where you are, or go down.

But it's not just about feelings; it's about thinking, being, believing, doing, having, and giving. Eckhart Tolle reminds us that we often dwell in the past or future, rarely in the present. Our beliefs shape our actions, and faith without works is dead. We live in a world of abundance, where what you focus on expands. So, what are you looking for in life?

We challenge you with this message: Feel your feelings, think about them, decide who you want to be, what you believe, what you'll do, what you'll have, and what you'll give. It's a formula for success, happiness, and making the world a better place. Join us on this journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Love you all!

  • Enjoy A Servant's Attitude

Welcome to another episode of "Humor: Your 7th Sense." We're your hosts, Phil and Susan Sorentino, the Original Humor Consultants, and today, we're diving into the world of customer service with a twist. In this fast-paced business landscape, the buzzword is undoubtedly "customer service," but it's time to ask ourselves: Are we truly embracing the essence of service with a smile?

Sure, everyone talks about quality and service, but here's the kicker – it's not just about what you offer; it's about how you offer it. Picture this: you've got top-notch quality and stellar service, but if your delivery lacks that special touch that makes your customers feel valued and appreciated, you might be missing the mark.

I'll let you in on a secret – style is just as vital as substance. Quality keeps you in the game for the long haul, and service is essential, but it's your unique style that keeps you afloat even when things aren't going as planned – for you or your customers.

Now, here's a revolutionary idea I'm working on: Imagine if we based our customer service programs on the principles of love and forgiveness. Just as every computer code boils down to ones and zeros, what if our customer service concepts and policies were rooted in love and forgiveness? It might just be the magic ingredient to turn customer service into customer loyalty.

So, get ready to rethink your approach to customer service, infuse it with humor, and let's explore how style can be your secret weapon in winning the hearts and loyalty of your customers. Join us for an enlightening and fun discussion on how embracing a service attitude with a touch of love and forgiveness can transform your business. Stay tuned and let's make customer service a source of joy and success!

  • Humor - Your 7th Sense

Hi, we are Phil and Susan Sorentino, the Original Humor Consultant, and welcome to the first episode of the "Humor - Your 7th Sense" podcast. Today, we're delving into the fascinating world of humor and its profound connection to our senses. But before we get started, let me introduce you to a pivotal moment in my life, thanks to our son Chad.

Back in 1981, our son Chad was in kindergarten. Yes, we have a Chad, not a hanging Chad or a dimple Chad, just a regular ol' Chad. Now, here's the twist – Chad would go on to become a drill sergeant, training over 1100 troops in two years and stationed at Fort Knox. Quite the journey from kindergarten, wouldn't you say?

So, picture this: Chad's kindergarten class was discussing the five senses – sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing. But our son, always one to think outside the box, raised his hand and asked about the "6th sense" When the teacher inquired, "Your 6th sense?" Chad brilliantly responded, "Yeah, your ability to read other people's minds." You can imagine the pride in our hearts when we heard that.

But it doesn't end there. Chad's teacher, who was truly remarkable, asked him about the "7th cents." To which Chad asked, "Your 7th sense." The teacher probed further, "Your sense of.humor" And that's when it clicked. Chad's response wasn't just humorous; it was profound.

If we can agree that your sense of humor is your sense of perspective, then it's the culmination of all the information processed through our other six senses. Essentially, your sense of humor becomes your attitude. And as our good friend from Lima, Ohio, E. Larry Moles, once said, "I see people walking around looking like they were weaned on a pickle." It all comes down to our attitudes.

So, dear listeners, the question we pose to you today is: Do you have a loving humor or a hateful humor? An encouraging humor or a discouraging humor? A forgiving humor or a revengeful humor? The power is in your hands to choose the humor you bring to the world.

Thank you for tuning in to this episode of the "Original" Humor Consultants podcast. Remember, your sense of humor is your 7th sense, and it has the potential to shape the world around you. Until next time, keep laughing, keep loving, and keep choosing your humor wisely.
