Joey and Brian both own their own businesses in carpentry and frequentlywork together on jobs. Topics include: How Brian discovered tracking early on, Brian and Joey killing bucks on the same day multiple times, success and failure stories, custom gun work on a rifle barrel with a hack saw, missing chicken dinners, Brian's knack for stumbling into pockets of deer in vast terrain, and many many more stories.

Brian has hunted in the Adirondacks for many years and found tracking early on before he had heard about the Famous Benoit's and Hal Blood. Brian is a former Hunter Education instructor in Vermont, and avid fisherman and a true conservationist. On this episode of Northeast Hunt & Film Jason is joined with licensed dog tracker in the state of New Hampshire, and member of United Blood Trackers Mike Lafleur. This podcast was recorded at Huntstock where Mike had his dog Freddie in attendance trying to raise awareness for licensed leashed dog tracking to be allowed in the state of Massachusetts. Unfortunately, that is currently illegal by the way the law is written. This is such an important thing that I think is taken for granted. Having people like Mike out there that are passionate about it and willing to help at the drop of a hat is such an awesome resource and we can't thank them enough. Mike is a great guy, and you can tell that he really cares. Freddie opened up some eyes at Huntstock at just 4 months old he ran the course they set up with ease. On this episode of the Northeast Hunt & Film Podcast Jason is joined with Brett Joy from Just Hunt Club. The two discuss a variety of topics based around the hardest thing in deer hunting to do... sit in a tree in for a week during the rut in the big woods of the northeast. It's both mentally and physically taxing on the body. Low deer densities, cold weather, and just sheer boredom will drive most people out of the tree. Brett has learned to trust his spots and the process, and he does it year in and year out. Last year he killed his buck on the 7th day at hour number 68!! That's a long week! He also talks about how tracking can help you find these key spots. If a buck, or multiple bucks, travel through the same notch, that's a good spot to be if you can access it clean!
