Mario tells Sam he’s quitting the band because of the name change. Tom is too
So, when the three of them quit, Matt will have to cave – ‘cos there will be no band
Harry’s in for a spray tan. Laura gives him paper pants to protect his modesty
Harry says he lost two kilos since the waxing. Laura says she can tell – mild flirtation
Trevor serves Adam, who tells him Pete Sanderson was sentenced to six years in jail
I heard, says Trevor. Vicky’s gone to Milton Keynes to be with Darren for a while
Ryan says his company has negotiated the contract for Edison Gray to use his song
The royalties are surprisingly generous – Matt couldn’t have been involved, he jokes
Barry wants some relaxing scented candles for Fiona. She seems quite stressed
Confides that she won’t agree to let him move in. Moll says she isn’t surprised
The two officers discuss the theft of the charity box from the pub. It wasn’t Tommy
Duncan and Sarah asked him about it, and they are both confident it wasn’t him

Judy tells Sarah and Neil how her Mum’s jewellery is missing from her wardrobe

People will expect him to move on afterwards, but he knows he’ll struggle to do so

She doesn’t gamble, though. Nor me, says Neil. Doesn’t matter – there’s loads to do
Judy tells Bob how proud she is of him for discovering the grenade in the shop
Without him, people could have been injured, or even killed. He’s her hero
Sarah has thought more about leaving the police. Maybe now’s not the right time
She does need a challenge, now that Heather Green’s manslaughter trial is progressing, but the grenade drama in the charity shop got her thinking

February 18, 2024Season 8 – Eps 7&8
The couple are really worried about the Council’s plans for a pedestrian zone
Dan says it will kill the garage. Bob says they could relocate, but he’s not convinced
Tom’s distraught about new band name – Samantha and The Trinity. All about Sam
He thinks Mario might quit – if so, he’ll have to leave too. His career could be over
He says he feels they’re not on the same side anymore – because of the band name
Mario tells Sam that they’re going to stop trying for a baby. Sam asks him why
Barry goes for his tarot reading. He jokes around beforehand, until Moll starts
She tells him his current happiness is fragile
Laura thanks Carmella for suggesting to Raymond that she join the action group
She made the Council fix the potholes – she can help stop the pedestrian zone
The band have got together after their rehearsal to discuss Matt’s name change
It’s a resigning issue for me, says Mario. We are Mabel and The Edge – end of chat

Matt tells the boys that he wants them to ditch the name Mabel and the Edge
OK for a local band, but things have changed. They’re bigger, so need a new name
Raymond has asked the three to meet in the café to discuss the Council’s plans
He’s horrified by the proposals for a pedestrianised town centre. How do they feel?
The three are discussing the Christmas cabaret. They’ve had some great feedback
They’ve all been stopped in the street by people saying they loved it and want more
Bianca has developed a website to sell the Wavelengths range of hair loss products
It has a medical look and feel. There’s an online shop and a customer loyalty scheme
The two are unpacking boxes that have been left outside the charity shop overnight
There is some good stuff, although sadly no valuable vinyl this time round
Jordan is presenting the monthly charity management information to Charlotte
Revenue is up, and there’s a surge every time Charlotte is featured in the media

Charlotte has had a meeting with the Council regarding their long-term town plans
They plan to turn the town centre into a pedestrian zone – better environment
The two are having a quiet drink. Trevor serves them. They all say they’re gloomy
Adam tells Chantelle he always finds this time of year depressing. So dark and cold
The ladies come in later that evening. Trevor serves them. Fiona’s doing Dry January
Sharon has wine but is feeling fitter due to Moll’s yoga classes. Fi mentions Carmella
The Council has issued a press reIease regarding its plans for Huntsford town centre
It intends to ‘make Huntsford fit for the future’ by making the town centre a pedestrian zone and introducing a Transport Hub. Consultation starts now
Tommy’s feeling proud. He has sold a load of vinyl records to a specialist retailer
He only wanted the classic and pomp rock albums, but he’s paid nearly a grand
The ladies are clearing up after hours. Alyson says Neil wants to go on holiday
Wants to visit Vegas and the Grand Canyon. Alyson’s not sure whether to commit

Darren’s staying in MK – and thanks to the two of them, she’s staying in Huntsford
Adam has taken Chantelle out for a special dinner to say thank you for her friendship
She has stood by him during the most difficult time of his life. He’s very grateful

The police officers tell Adam that Pete Sanderson is pleading guilty to manslaughter
They explain that this means no long trial – it will be sorted in a couple of months
Ryan calls round to see his Mum, with champagne. Tells her about the baby
She’s a little nervous – is this the right time, given Ryan’s song writing contract?
Mario’s waiting for Sam. Doreen serves him. Bianca comes in; Mario flirts with her
Bianca is confused but polite. Sam comes in; Mario doesn’t notice. She catches him
Vicky has been informed about Pete’s guilty plea and is both relieved and upset
Relieved that Darren won’t have to give evidence, but upset as she’ll be stigmatised
Sam drops in for a drink. Duncan serves her. Keanu’s there – they go and sit down
Keanu asks her why she looks sad. She says she can’t say – Mario wouldn’t like it
It’s the interval at Trevor, Doreen and Sharon’s Christmas cabaret. It’s going well
Fiona and Barry enjoyed the sketch about Rudolph’s botched nose job – hilarious
