Dan’s foot suffered severe bruising. Laura asks him how it’s doing. He’s still in pain
He confesses the doctor wants him to go for counselling – noticed anxiety symptoms
Vicky runs into Bianca in the pub. As Dor serves them, she mentions her business
Both women think it’s a great idea – how great to get your dinner delivered
Duncan says that life is looking up. Luna and Jordan are doing well, as is Tommy
It’ll be nice to see him perform at Huntsford Gala. Now he intends to focus on Sarah
Sarah congratulates Neil on his wedding. He was a player once; now he’s a husband
How things change, he says. Talking of which, has much changed while I was away?
Sam’s home for Huntsford Gala. She takes time out from rehearsals to meet Luna
She says she’s sorry the house sale didn’t go through before the birth
The friends are having a drink to celebrate Alyson’s surprise wedding/first grandchild
They chat about Vegas, babies, Neil – and say leopards clearly do change their spots

Alyson has come straight from the airport. The three of them sit by the incubator
The baby’s going to be fine, says Ryan – she just needs extra support for a while
Bob tells Dan that he and Judy have agreed to keep quiet about the jewellery theft
They want to give Dan the chance to put his life back together. Dan is so relieved
The couple have been shopping and to a West End show. Now they’re off to dinner
They’re having a great time, but can’t believe how expensive everything is
Vicky has been running the café in Carmella’s absence. They’re due back later
Chantelle and Adam come in for lunch. It’s busy, and they praise Vicky for her skills
Harry’s back from London and having a spray tan. Tells Laura about the mini break
She says he’s lucky, then confides in him re: Dan’s thefts. It’s going to court soon
Fiona tells Jade that she will come to the festival – provided she can bring Jasper
She has looked at the website and the festival is child friendly. Lots of kids’ activities

August 03, 2024S8 – Eps 51&52
Neil and Alyson wake up happily in their hotel the morning after their wedding
Their wedding night was so blissful, they forgot to switch their phones back on
Carmella gets a message from Mario. He’s bringing home a takeaway for them all
That’s a first, says Harry. Mario arrives and is pleasant and polite for a change
Jade and Fiona wake up in bed together after their fourth date. Fiona feels guilty
She’s breaking her agreement with Barry – casual hook-ups only. Jade disagrees
Jordan has given birth. It was traumatic. The nurses have taken the baby away
They seem to have been ages and she’s worried something’s wrong. Ryan hugs her
Duncan arrives, desperate to know if Jordan’s OK. She reassures him she’ll be fine
He asks about the baby. They say it’s a little girl, who’s being assessed by the nurses
Matt tells the band that he has booked them for Huntsford Gala. Sam’s surprised
You didn’t want us to play the gala last year. What’s changed? Everything, says Matt

July 22, 2024Season 8 – Eps 49&50
Harry comes in as the ladies are clearing up. He has booked a mini break in London
He and Carmella are going to stay in a nice hotel, go for a meal, take in a show
Bob tells Judy that Dan took her jewellery. Judy is devastated. He burgled us!
It must have been when he was here for a drink or a meal – he took advantage
The couple are on the viewing point above the Grand Canyon (see picture at end)
Neil is surprised that Alyson isn’t frightened up here, given her acute fear of flying
Mario is a bit tipsy. He orders a drink and Trevor tells him to make it his last one
Bianca and Sharon are at the bar. Mario asks where Tommy is. At a gig, says Bianca
The couple wait nervously outside the chapel. Neil tells Alyson he loves her dress
It’s a 60s mini dress, bought from a vintage shop downtown. Neil wears a sharp suit
It’s 3am. Jordan wakes up in searing pain. Is the baby coming? If so, it’s far too early

July 12, 2024Season 8 – Eps 47&48
Duncan and Trevor play a video of Sam’s band which is doing well on social media
They remark on how the number of likes, shares etc. is soaring even as they watch
Duncan calls from the pub. It’s later the same evening. Mario is still there…
Duncan tells Harry to come and get him. He’s drunk and starting to get abusive
The couple are exploring the Downtown area. Remark on the contrast with The Strip
I brought you down here for a reason, says Neil. See that building across the street?
The two women meet for a second night out. Fiona says she’s breaking the rules
It’s supposed to be casual hook-ups only. A second meeting with an ex is illicit
It’s the end of the day. Doreen goes home and Dan tells Bob he needs a word
He says that some stuff is going to come out, but he wants Bob to know first

July 08, 2024Season 8 – Eps 45&46
The couple have seen that Sam and Mario’s house is up for sale – at a great price
Jordan suggests they buy it. The royalties from Edison Gray would fund the deposit
The pair are early for rehearsal. Tommy says he never used to be early for anything
When he was drinking and using, people couldn’t count on him even to show up…
The former lovers meet for lunch. Sparks fly. Jade tells Fiona her career is going well
Fiona says Wavelengths is too – and now she has Jasper. Shows cute baby photos
Barry is enjoying some of Moll’s Moldovan wine. He thanks her for inviting him
It sounds disloyal, but it’s nice to have a night off from Jasper – and Fiona
yan calls Matt. Unexpectedly, Matt’s friendly. Congratulates him re: Edison Gray hit
Ryan asks if Sam can play Huntsford Gala, but says he knows the answer will be ‘no’
Laura is still devastated by Dan’s revelation that he has been caught stealing
He stole Raymond’s hair products, Charlotte’s charity donation – and the charity box

The rehearsal has gone well. Keanu offers to go downstairs and get drinks for them
Sam asks for a white wine. Tom orders an alcohol-free beer and Ari does too
Harry and Carmella return from dinner at the Red Fort. They’ve had a nice evening…
…which is ruined by Mario, who’s drunk. Carmella calls him out on it, and he loses it
The couple are walking down The Strip. Alyson loves the sun and the Vegas vibe
She’s looking forward to the show they’ve booked – and to their Grand Canyon trip
Adam tells Ryan he is so proud of him for writing Edison Gray’s summer hit…
He keeps telling all the presenters to play it and to mention that Ryan wrote it
Doreen tells the others how excited she is about the forthcoming TV programme
She gets to restore her beloved Harleys and co-present with Bob. It’s just perfect!
Sarah calls round to see Dan. Laura is out with the kids. Sarah asks to come in
Then she drops her bombshell. She knows Dan stole Raymond’s hair products

Judy comes into the café. She has seen the ‘for sale’ board outside Mario’s house
She asks Carmella why Mario and Sam are selling so soon after they bought it
Raymond says goodbye to a young girl (unvoiced). The others ask what she wanted
They say she’s a bit young to be one of their clients. Did she want an appointment?
Dan comes home with flowers and says sorry to Laura for his lack of support
He knows there’s nothing between her and Harry and he promises to improve
The couple are flying off to Vegas. Alyson’s terrified about the forthcoming flight
She’s had a few drinks in the airport bar, but they haven’t calmed her down
Bob has received a package by post at the garage, containing Judy’s jewellery
It also contained an anonymous note apologising for stealing it in the first place
Sharon asks Fiona how the open relationship’s going. Fi reveals she’s meeting Jade
They made new arrangements after Jade bailed on her the first time. Just as friends

Sam turns up at the door and asks her parents if she can move back to Penistone
She’s going to be away lots with the band – festivals, gigs, recording studio etc.
Sarah is tired. There has been another burglary – up on the Addington this time
The homeowner came home and disturb the masked burglars, who threatened him
Mother and daughter ask Moll for a tarot reading, focusing on Bianca and Tommy
Moll does the reading and says that the man in question genuinely cares for Bianca
Barry tells Moll that Fiona has her profile out there on a women’s dating site
Carmella is upset – Mario has talked to her about selling his and Sam’s house
She’s distraught that the split between her son and Sam seems like it’s permanent
Sam knocks at the door. If you’re still in the band, don’t bother to beg, Mario says
Sam’s imperious. She’s not here to beg. She’s off soon to do that private gig for the famous footballer in Alderley Edge. Meanwhile, she has engaged some stylists

The pair are having a takeaway. Neil is looking forward to their holiday in Las Vegas
Alyson’s nervous about the flight but he reassures her. It’ll be worth it to see Vegas
The colleagues discuss the gossip. Laura has heard rumours about Chantelle/Adam
People are saying they’re more than just good friends. Nonsense, says Chantelle
Bob tells Doreen that he’ll do the TV series with her. Judy persuaded him to do it
Doreen’s delighted. Bob asks Dan if he’ll take over the garage accounting to help out
Jordan is still feeling miserable in late pregnancy, but Ryan has a surprise for her
He has arranged pregnancy massages and a course of acupuncture at a salon
Matt has introduced Tom and Sam to Ari and left them to get to know each other
Ari is super-cool. Sam asks her who her influencers are. Tina Weymouth, she says
Carmella confronts Harry with the photo of him hugging Laura outside the school
It’s a friendly hug, he says. Laura had just been bullied. She needed support – end of
