Hurricane Laura Pre-Landfall Update

Our disaster weather experts, Kyle Nelson and Becky Depodwin, come back on this episode of the Disaster Podcast to discuss the demise of Tropical Storm Marco and the pending strengthening and landfall of major Hurricane Laura.

Dr. Joe Holley has been activated by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) as part of the IST (Incident Support Team) for the pending disaster. Joe called in while on the road to Baton Rouge, Louisiana with the team. He explained the process for activating the Federal resources and how they will support local and state response and disaster teams as needed.
