Watching an  area in the western Atlantic but that's about all there is to keep an eye on as we round out the month.

We have a minor area of interest that may try to develop off the Southeast coast of the U.S. in a few days but otherwise, things are still nice and quiet across the Atlantic Basin as an unfavorable overall pattern remains in place to round out the month of July.

In the eastern Pacific, we still have two systems, hurricane Felicia and tropical storm Guillermo, but both are far from land and won't have any impacts for Mexico or Hawaii for that matter.

In the eastern Pacific, we have powerful hurricane Felicia moving west over the open waters far from land along with a new tropical storm, Guillermo, which will also move west with time, remaining well off the coast of Mexico.

The Atlantic Basin remains free and clear of any areas of concern and I don't see anything popping up within the various global models over the coming days.

In the east Pacific, hurricane Felicia became a category four hurricane with winds of 145 mph as of early this morning. No worries as Felicia will continue to move westward over the open Pacific far from land.

Also, a new tropical depression has formed well off the coast of Mexico and it too will track away from land and not pose any issues.
