Tracking your menstrual cycle can significantly improve one's well-being and productivity.  We cover in this episode the 4 phases of your menstrual cycle and how to plan and prioritize your tasks for each phase.

Follicular phase (which occurs right after the period): focus on planning and creating a master to-do list.

Ovulation phase (a time of high energy and creativity):  content creation and forward-facing marketing activities are priority.

Luteal phase (the longest phase): time to wrap up projects and slow down.

I emphasize the importance of not launching or taking on new projects during your menstrual phase, instead use this time for rest and relaxation.

The holidays are a wonderful, stressful and intense time in the mom world.

We have more stuff put on our plates starting really before Halloween. Some of it we can help, some of it we can't help and some of it we love.

Either way, there is no denying that our to-do lists get longer and our patience gets shorter.

In this episode, I highlight the importance of setting boundaries and prioritizing activities that truly bring you joy this holiday season.

To help you identify what is truly important to you, I have created the following list activity:

    Want to

    Have to

    Should do

I give examples on each section of the list in this podcast and what to do at the end when you have made your lists.

Remember, you don’t have to do all the things this holiday season and you get to say no!

Repurposing saves time by reusing existing content and allows for the repetition of core brand stories and framework, even when it starts to feel repetitive. Repurposing also helps to improve content with each iteration, making a greater impact on your audience. I always tell my clients that your audience often doesn't pay as close attention to content as creators think, which means that repeating and repurposing content is necessary to ensure it reaches and resonates with different individuals. Additionally, people consume content in various ways, so repurposing content into different formats can cater to different preferences.

I always recommend starting with top-performing content and using insights to guide the repurposing process. I also suggest reinventing posts that didn't initially perform well to see if they resonate better with slight adjustments.

My Impactful Instagram Essentials Bundle is a great start if you’re unsure about your own content repurposing strategy.  The 3 webinars in the bundle are:

      1. Cracking the Code of Instagram Engagement
      2. Content Remix: Unleashing the Power of Repurposing

I initially had reservations about content pillars, I thought they were restrictive and very surface level.

Creating a clear message in your brand and attracting the right audience is so crucial.  Content pillars can serve as the foundation for your content creation and also help you stay consistent and focused.  They help you become known for something.

When coming up with content pillars, consider these 3 things:

        1. Identify your specific expertise
        2. Determine your mission
        3. Consider your personal interests and how they tie into your business
        4. Next, you want to categorize these into the following pieces of content:

          • Authoritative
          • Educational
          • Connecting
          • Sales
          • Growth
          •

My guest today - @itsmoneymartha - is a business strategist with a financial focus. Breaking down big goals into smaller, manageable steps is my number one piece of advice in this podcast episode.

When you are building your business on social media, I always suggest choosing one platform to focus on first and be consistent with it.  It’s important to ditch perfectionism, pick 3-5 engaging topics to talk about and utilize a content calendar to get started.

Once you feel like you have a system down that works for you and getting some engagement, it’s time to start building your email list.  This is also a great time to refine those content pillars you started out with and hone in your messaging.

Repetition in your content is what is going to drive home the message you are trying to convey, while establishing authority.  Don’t forget to leverage your expertise!

We are diving into my journey of developing a content process after being in the online space for 8 years.  I learned early in my journey that posting lifestyle content and tips was not going to help me achieve my business goals.  I have invested in email courses and coaches over the years, this is what has ultimately helped me improve my storytelling skills and create more engaging content.

            My 3-part approach:

            1. Connection
            2. Authenticity
            3. Authority
            4. When you incorporate these 3 things, you are able to reach your audience in a different way and reach those business goals you desire.

If you’re feeling stuck or just bored with your content, I encourage you to identify what it is that you truly need help with.  Invest in things that make sense for you.
