Welcome to Episode 4! Erika and Alexis speak with Luke Nikas, a partner at Quinn Emanuel's NY office and Co-Chair of the firm's Art Litigation and Disputes Practice.  He takes us through the evolution of Art Litigation over the last 20 years and why it has exploded in the way it has. Also, what is litigation? What is litigatable?* What are your rights to your images and works as an artist and how can you protect yourself before and after the creation of your work? It's an INCREDIBLY educational episode regarding the tangential legal issues that surround the art world and everyone should listen, because it's more than either of the host's knew about and you're probably more protected than you thought. Bookmark this one, because if you don't need it now, you will in the future!

*Did Alexis make up the word litigatable? The autocorrect on this typing says no, but her enthusiasm in the episode says yes!
