Marvel sweetens retail value by including additional digital content when purchasing physical comics starting Feb 1 readers will get Civil War 2 #0 for free. Marvel teases “Secret Empire” comic coming this year, the return of the criminal organization headed by Richard Nixon. “a house divided against itself cannot stand” a quote from Abraham Lincoln. First appeared just after the Watergate scandal in the 70’s, seems interesting that it’s returning this year. Deadpool verses Punisher in April of this year. Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger will has been given the Working Title “Shadows”. Follows Tyrone Johnson (Cloak) and Tandy Bowen (Dagger). Winter of 2018. James Gunn tweeted he has an idea for a Moon Knight movie, Vincent D’Onofrio tweeted back “If you’re going to make moon knight into a film. Dude I’m in.”. Avengers Infinity War to shoot in Scotland, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and the Highlands. Benedict Cumberbatch will return as Dr. Strange and Liv Tyler is rumored to return as Betty Ross from Incredible Hulk. Marvel revealed Sakaar as a definite location in Thor Ragnarok. Dr. Strange confirmed to be in the film as well.

Episode 152: Force Friday – From Hunger Games To Han Solo, Star Wars Springing Back To Winter, The Fight For The Future of Carrie Fisher! (January 6, 2017)

Welcome back Cast Members, to another FORCE FRIDAY episode here at CLOUD CITY CAST!

From mentoring Katniss in the Hunger Games, he may be mentoring a young Han Solo in the upcoming anthology film as Woody Harrelson is top of the list to join the cast. Speaking of Young Han Solo, the film may join the others in a December release as Disney has stopped referring to it’s may release and simply putting it as “2018”. Darth Vader makes his way back to Disneyland Paris, this time as a meet and greet character for all of those that didn’t get enough of him in Rogue One (which would include us. No such thing as too much Vader). Finally, it’s the topic on everyone’s minds: What will happen to Princess/General Leia in Episode 8 and 9? Will her role be rewritten? Will they CGI her into oblivion? Will they leave it alone and hope we won’t notice while we’re crying our eyes out in the theatre? Only time will tell, but until then, let’s come up with as many theories as possible!

Episode 151: Walt Wednesday – Goodbye Tower of Terror, Beauty Can Sing, Main Street Electrical Parade On The Comeback! (January 4, 2017)

Welcome back Cast Members, to another WALT WEDNESDAY episode here at CLOUD CITY CAST!

And now it’s time to say goodbye, to all our company…well at least to the company that is Tower of Terror, as they’ve finally closed it’s doors as they finish the final touches before it reopens as Guardians: Mission Breakout. Speaking of Guardians, you can expect to see a whole slew of Ravagers, as well as Star Lord, Gamorra, Mantis, and possibly even Ego walking the parks near the Hyperion. Beauty and the Beast is fast approaching, and we’ve been given a special sneak peak of Emma Watson singing Something There, do you think she stacks up to the incomparable Paige O’Hara? Coco is still almost a year away, but a recent image released gave us a first look at what we can expect stylistically from Pixar’s latest installment. Now that the 60th Celebration is finally complete, we get to look forward to Disneyland’s latest offerings, and they do not disappoint as the Main Street Electrical Parade is making a comeback, which you can see firsthand January 20th, with a special pass you can purchase by calling the Disneyland Box Office. Space is limited and tickets are going fast!

Episode 148: Walt Wednesday – Walt Disney World Rewards Annual Passholders, Disney Clears $7 Billion, and Rogue One Rules! (December 21, 2016)

Welcome back Cast Members, to another episode of Walt Wednesday here at CLOUD CITY CAST!

It feels like it’s been forever since we last talked to/at you guys and gals! We’ve been busy with Remy’s second birthday party and finally being able to see Rogue One! We promise we dropped no spoilers on this episode, but we highly recommend you go and see the film before Force Friday because that will be chock FULL of spoilers. You have been warned!

Rogue One smashed it at the box office this weekend, making it the second highest grossing December release of all time, behind only The Force Awakens. Walt Disney World has decided to reward their annual passholders with a special express line to get into the park. Dick Van Dyke and Kiera Knightley are both set to make appearances in their respective franchises Mary Poppins and Pirates of the Caribbean. Disney released a special audio concert on BBC Radio 2 showcasing two decades worth of Disney Broadway that you can listen to for free for the next 25 days. Finally, Disney channel is pulling out the oldies as they premier more than 30 pilot episodes of some of their past and present tv show from Even Stevens to Wizards of Waverly Place.

The Star Wars Rogue One premier happened this past weekend, with the cast and crew gracing the red carpet down in Hollywood. Manoah was actually able to make it down there as a member of the 501st selected to suit up for the event, so we’ll have him on soon to be able to recap some of his favorite moments from the event and what he thought of the film!

Marvel has been busy since the last time we released a Marvel Monday episode, we had a ton of news to cover. From TV announcements like a new showrunner for Inhumans, to Agents of SHIELD taking their mid season break and coming back with LMDs, to Luke Cage confirmed for a second season, it’s been busy and that’s just for TV! We’ll also talk film rumors, actors and directors rumored to be involved, Funko Pop shorts, Marvel vs Capcom, and of course the new Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer that dropped Thursday night.

Episode 145: Force Friday – Rogue One Is Almost Here But Mads Can’t Be Trusted, Supreme Puppet Snoke, and a Prequel Favorite Makes Their Final Appearance! (December 9, 2016)

Welcome back Cast Members, to another episode of Force Friday here at CLOUD CITY CAST!

A Spider-man teaser dropped on this week to set us up for the full trailer that came out on Jimmy Kimmel Live. When we recorded this, we hadn’t seen it yet, but it came out right after we finished and man oh man was it awesome. Can’t wait to talk about it on Monday!

Supreme Leader Snoke might need to be renamed Supreme Puppet Snoke for Ep 8, as new reports as saying that the CGI character may grace the screen as a 7-8 foot puppet. Mads Mikkleson can’t be trusted with anything, especially not the construction of a Death Star. Obi-Wan isn’t finished with the Skywalker Saga, which may be why there hasn’t been more talk of his solo outing. Giant X-wing lands in time for Hollywood Premier, despite efforts to conceal it’s existence, it has succeeded in blocking traffic. Early reactions to R1 say it puts the “war” back in star wars, which we wouldn’t expect anything less. New clips show a prequel favorite making his “final” appearance and the cast of R1 will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Friday night for a special Rogue One episode.

Episode 144: Walt Wednesday – We’re Kookoo for Coco, Electrical Parade’s Triumphant Return, and Moana Sails To Top of the Box Office! (December 7, 2016)

Welcome back Cast Members, to another episode of Force Friday here at CLOUD CITY CAST!

James Gunn dropped some sweet Guardians Vol 2 trailer for us to obsess over, so of course we go off on a tangent about professional wrestling. As we do with every holiday season (and chance we get) we had to go to the Disney Store to see all the new Rogue One and Moana toys. While shopping, Liam had an existential crisis as to whether or not he should buy Remy an Alena of Avalor toy. It’s also time for the mid-season finales for all your favorite shows, because apparently we can’t watch tv while shopping online.  

Disney and Pixar have finally released some information about Coco from small story details to casting choices and we couldn’t be more excited about this film! It’s still a year away, but it seems like it will be well worth the wait. Return of the main street electrical parade to Disneyland has us super excited, especially since Liam hasn’t seen it yet, so we’ll have until July 2017 to get our fill. Moana has sailed to the top of the box office yet again this week, and so far it seems on track to eclipse Frozen, which would definitely make our hearts glow green with bioluminescent algae.
