I-80 Club

"What's a good season for Nebraska football in 2025?" It's a question Josh and Jack have wondered about all offseason. On this episode, they try to define it.

Josh presents four things he's looking at to happen; win total, record vs. rivals, a "couch-burning" win, and vibes going into November. Jack adds a category of his own; one-score success. They discuss it all six weeks from week zero!

Josh goes through games 40-31 before he dives in a bit deeper with Jack. Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Iowa all show up multiple times; what is it about those games that caused them to end up in this spot? Plus, what do they remember about each of the ten all these years later?

Jack and Josh start the podcast by diving into the local story of the week; Scott Frost's words at Big 12 Media Days. They discuss why it resonated with them like it did and why it seems to land so differently to various parts of the fanbase and why this isn't going away. They also unpacked Jack's first-ever column for HuskerMax.

They finish the podcast by taking questions from their subscribers!

On a special bonus edition of the Groin Kick Chronicles, Josh and Jack look back at the first game that wasn't of the Scott Frost era. They remember the offseason that led up to September 1st and the vibes that surrounded the fanbase ahead of the game before it was ultimately cancelled. Had the game been played, would it have changed things? And either way, where would this game rank on the list of groin kicks if we could give it a proper score?
