We Want To Hear From YOU!

IMAGINE how much less turmoil you would have had in your life if you had vetted every decision you’ve made according to the Word of God.  IMAGINE establishing plans based on the wisdom outlined in the scriptures regarding love, relationships, finance, friendships, worship and intimate time with God.  IMAGINE if you lived every moment of every day conscientious of God’s presence, not as a warden, judging your mistakes, but as an ever present helper.  IMAGINE if you could just always remember that your only true confidant is always there with you, that the one who Created the heavens and earth, the one who humn the moon and stars, walks with you everywhere, and is rooting for your success.

The bottom line is God wants, God needs you to be successful.  Have you ever been around a disgruntled employee? They are unproductive, negative, terrible for public relations and they bring the spirit of those around them down.

God needs success servants in the Kingdom, it's a good marketing strategy.  God knows the human mind well enough to understand success draws attention.  The problem he seems to have with Kingdom servants is we tend to get hung up in the hoopla of our little successes, and turn our attention away from the plans and purpose of God.

But when we pursue success or turn after achieving a little success from the principles of God, we then become conformed to the ways of the world making us useless to the Kingdom.

God wants and needs us to reek with success so that it causes the lost, the unbeliever and the undecided to begin to thirst after true success which his servants exhibit can only come from and through him.

Notice Jesus didn’t say, we should strive to be the salt of the earth.  He emphatically said that we are the salt of the earth.  If we know nothing else about salt, we know that it brings out the flavor.  If we were to pull up to McDonald’s and there were two lines, one for those that want salt on their fries and the other who want fries without salt.  I can assure you the line for salt would be a whole lot busier.

We understand salt as it applies to flavor, we understand that salt brings out the best in meat, vegetables, and even though we can’t necessarily taste in bakery items it is an essential ingredient even when baking, see salt provides a balance to the sweetness of cake batters.

Just knowing what salt does to what we indulge in everyday should give a clear understanding of how we should conduct ourselves as disciples. In this world, it's the believers, the disciples, those who profess to be saved, sanctified and leaning on the Word of God that should be consistent in providing, changing and cultivating the flavor on earth.

Salt represents truth and we know that the only undisputed truth is the Word of God.  So when God says we are the salt of the earth He is letting us know that it us who has been mandated to exalt his truth on earth, through not just running from pulpit to pulpit, preaching sermons, but in our everyday living, in our everyday interactions with the world, in the examples we set, in how we respond to sin, untruths and ungodliness.

We know salt to be the seasoning that bring out the best and we ought to be able to bring out the best in others, in all those we connect with and come in contact with, because we represent God, His truth and are committed to who he says we are, and he says we are the salt of the earth.

So regardless how jacked up a person is we should be able to bring out their best. You know we have made delicacies out of scraps all because of being able to collate the right seasoning, with salt being at the root of it all. Chitlins, oxtails, greens, even sausages, all scraps, all what at some point was considered useless trash, is now considered delicacies and part of a prime meal, all because someone took the time to season these things.

We were all created with a divine purpose and you were not created for you.  It is our obligation to fulfill our ordained purpose.  Don’t be deceived into thinking that purpose can be solidified by bank balances, remember we were created by the King of Kings, Lord of Lord the very one who created the gold and jewels, so our monetary achievements mean nothing in the Kingdom of God, if our divine purpose was not fulfilled.

And last but not least your divine purpose extends beyond niceness and pleasantries, those are just expecting characteristics of children of God. Your purpose is only exalted when God is the center, when the Kingdom of Heaven gets the glory.

Your purpose is exalted when through the righteousness of  God you are able to bring light into darkness, and when because of the principles of the Word of God you are able to bring salt and add flavor to lives and none of this can be sought after or achieved without a committed relationship with God.

Today marks the one year anniversary of the insurrection on our nation's capital. There are those who shamefully believe that separation between church and state means the church should stay out of government business, when in actuality the law was put in place to keep the government out of church affairs. And today I am going to say what a lot of our renown church leaders won’t and I am going to back it up with scripture.

God the Creator of all things, the creator of man, gave man dominion there is no way man can fulfill the mandate of dominion given to us by God and be not only engaged in government, but as children of the Almighty be the rulers of government.

We entered into 2022 picking up the mantle of Pursuing Purpose.  The insurrection that took place exactly one year ago in this country is an extreme example of what happens when people stray so far away from their God ordained purpose, when people exalt their agenda over the plans of God.

The traditional first sermon of the new year is typically more upbeat, fixed on moving forward, preparing for blessing, and reaping a harvest and everyone gets excited and posts, reposts and shares.  But the truth is there is no moving forward,  there are no true blessings and there is no harvest to reap, if you repeatedly turn from God’s ordained purpose for His creating you.

Some of us right now are trying to think of what we can invest in, what business moves to make that would give us a good return.  I am asking you today, is your God-ordained purpose part of the business plan. Does your business plan detail how what you have imagined will be influential in shifting the culture on even a small scale to bring some of the Kingdom of God to this earth.

See here we get all tripped up if we allow the voices of this world to deceive us and make our goals all about self.  Keeping our goals focused on things,  careers, bottom-lines, only profit and the accolades of others.

We only measure success with numbers that indicate individual amounts, size and dollars as we pursue these goals that have no divine purpose, no intent or mention to bring glory to the Kingdom of God.
