We should all strive to live according to the perfect will of God for the permissive will of God is living in disobedience to His word and our being rebellious concerning his plans.

When you decide that walk according to the will and ways of God, you have committed to a sanctified lifestyle.  The very word, “sanctify” means to be set apart, separated from the rest. 

Jesus prays for believers in John 17 and says: “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.  They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by[d] the truth; your word is truth.  As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them, I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified”.  

So I say to you,  how dare we not want to be different, not want our belief in Jesus Christ not be magnified in our lifestyle.

We tend to want to fit in with the trends and the times of the world, we validate people by what we deem as the goodness of their character.  They can exalt lust, and be as profane as they choose, all in the name of entertainment, and we validate them as good because they donate to charities.  That may be good enough for you but it is not what God deems has good enough for the Kingdom of Heaven.

Our youngness, the state of spiritual immaturity drives us to allow things to dictate or taint our beliefs, not recognizing that we simultaneously are jeopardizing our relationship with God.  Our flesh has a tendency to consider material possessions,  physical comfort and acts of kindness over true spiritual values.

Acts of kindness and displays of worship is good, but only acceptable to God when we operate in obedience to His Word.  Let’s be reminded of Cain and Abel.  Cain's offering was rejected because it was given in a manner that violated the standard God had set.  

God will not just accept our acts of kindness, or our worship, as we submit them living lives that violate His standard.

It may seem like you are moving in slow motion while those around you are on fast forward.  But God’s got you.  Keep trusting in the Lord, and doing what you know is the right thing to do.  Patience is never about our ability to wait but our ability to maintain a godly attitude while waiting 

Let me remind you this morning, God created time, and when he deems it the perfect time to manifest something in our lives he can do it in an instant while making it appear as if time has stood still.

The God we serve is a promise-keeping God and his timing is not our time, but his timing is always best.

JEREMIAH 29:11-14, THE MESSAGE TRANSLATION I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

 “When you call on me when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen.

 “When you come looking for me, you’ll find me.

“Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed.” God’s Decree.

Yes, you are that special, yes you were so purposed that God had a plan for your life before you took your first breath.  Many have stories of some very humble beginnings, some have stories of horrific beginnings, stories of abuse, neglect, loneliness, and so on.  But whatever beginnings your life rests on, don’t doubt God's purpose for your life.

God doesn’t create bad situations for us to live through to give us strength but he will take bad situations and use them to position us for greater.  Joseph was sold into slavery by his own flesh and blood and when reunited with his brothers they fell at his feet apologizing for what they had done to them and Joseph told them to not worry for he was in a place with God and what was meant for evil against him God had to turn it around for not only his good but the good of so many others.  For Joseph fed many in the time of famine.

God does not create anything by accident the very fact that you are here means you were intentionally created by God. 

If you have not determined and staked a claim on your life purpose, God says in the scripture to call on Him and that when you come to him in prayer he will listen to you when you get serious about finding him and want him more than anything else and at that point prepare for Him to blow your mind.

27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

Trials and Temptations
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
