  • Nicodemus' Secret - Not Mine

We Want To Hear From YOU!

The final mention of Nicodemus in the Bible is in John 19 after Jesus’ crucifixion. We find Nicodemus assisting Joseph of Arimathea in Jesus’ burial. Joseph is described in John as a rich man and as a secret disciple of Jesus, as he was afraid of the Jews. Joseph asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Nicodemus brought 75 pounds of spices for use in preparing the body for burial and then assisted Joseph in wrapping the body and placing it in the tomb. The sheer amount of burial spices would seem to indicate that Nicodemus was a rich man and that he had great respect for Jesus.

The limited account leaves many questions about Nicodemus unanswered. Was he a true believer? What did he do after the resurrection? The Bible is silent on these questions. It would appear that Nicodemus may have been similar to Joseph of Arimathea in that perhaps he, too, was a secret disciple of Jesus and had not yet mustered the courage to declare his faith openly.

I have two questions to ask everyone under the sound of my voice, what is being said by others of your faith, is there a lingering question in the air when it comes to your actions, reactions, words, and beliefs as to who you serve?

It’s true God knows our heart, but it’s is also true that we were commissioned by God to operate with a spirit of dominion bringing the culture of heaven to earth and we can’t effectively do that, serving God as secret agents.   Matthew 10:32 tells Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven

  • Let Thunder Roar

We Want To Hear From YOU!

I researched the characteristic of thunder and it further solidified why Jesus referred to John and James as the sons of thunder.  A passage I read concerning the characteristics of thunder read, “even though thunderstorms are dangerous, they can be a great help. They give summer water, cool the earth, and clean the air. Lightning balances the earth's electricity and helps fertilize the soil. And after a thunderstorm, there is often a rainbow.

  • Exercise Your Faith Muscle

We Want To Hear From YOU!

Our physical bodies are strengthened when we submit to exercise.  And weight lifting is a way to develop muscle, and without weight this training is ineffective, the same applies to our faith muscle, to strengthen it we need weight.  One weight is the practice of loving our enemies, another is praying for those who persecute us.

Our ability to pray for those who persecute us is evidence of our love and our forgiveness. Every day push yourself to pray a little more than the day before for the one who hurt you and keep up this practice until God releases you, until you can look at their offense positively as a stumbling block that encouraged you to move differently, challenged you, extended you some godly wisdom.  Until there is no bitterness or resentment left toward that person or for what they did.

The Bible tells us without faith it is impossible to please God, just that alone should make us excited about exercising our faith muscles.

  • THE ONGOING PROCESS

We Want To Hear From YOU!

The ongoing process is change, as long as we have life, we are subject and responsible to submit to and be part of the process of change.

The bible is clear as it tells us that we serve a God who is unchanging, He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Why? Because He is Perfection, He already knows everything so God has no need for growth, learning, no reason to renew even His Word is truth and consistent, with no need for editing or updating.

But you and I are imperfect.  From birth we are challenged to learn, obtain knowledge.  We have free will, which we don’t always use according to the will of God, so we are capable of mistakes which invoke more required change and challenges.

    Ephesians 4:23-24

be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

The scripture guides us to embrace our truth of imperfection, and to be open to renewing our minds, learning, obtaining wisdom, to be committed to consistently recreating ourselves using godliness as our goal.

In Hosea 4:16, Israel is described as stubborn and unable to be used as lambs of God.  When we get set in our way, unwilling to change, unwilling to learn, unwilling to listen we are then also unwilling to be used for the glory of God.  God needs us to be for him like clay in the hands of a potter, moldable, willing and able to be shaped and molded into whatever is need for the Kingdom of God

  • TRUTH:Not a 4 letter word

We Want To Hear From YOU!

We all know the scripture John 8:31 very well, “the truth will set you free”.  And your response maybe then why don’t more people choose truth.  Because truth is not always the easiest thing to embrace.

The truth about self, will require some accountability, the truth about our relationships with others may require self-evaluation, and then again some accountability or truth will uncover not always the prettiest picture, and the truth about the reality of life and the world in which we live is avoided due to various levels of fear: fear of change, fear of loss, fear of failure, fear of condemnation and the list goes on and on.

In many ways, we have come to look at “truth” as bad, uncomfortable as a 4 letter word that brings doom and gloom.  Which is all a deception promoted by Satan himself because we know the Word of God tells us in John 17:17 that we should be sanctified in truth, meaning welcoming it, saturated with it, marinated in it. But what the devil knows is when we debunk truth it keeps us in a dark place, out of the will of God and more accessible to be used by and for him.

  • Flipping Your Dreams For Profits

We Want To Hear From YOU!

Flipping your dream into profit, is simply transitioning from a dreamer into a visionary.  Dreamers are full of ideas, bouncing from one dream to the next.  I can speak on this because, this was me, my family and friends will tell you that I have worked in so many different industries, had a multitude of businesses, and did well in everything I set my mind to, and made quite a bit of money, but because I never embraced a vision for my life, everything I went after soon bored me, or  because it was not grounded in vision I easy distracted and abandoned whatever the flavor of the month was.

The difference is visionaries have a determined focus, that has been examined, studied, planned, structured and more importantly incorporates their individual gifts and God ordained purpose.

See, a visionary is someone who tells you of their plans for the future and then spends the next 10 years committed to, plotting and implementing a well thought out plan, while facing obstacles and avoiding distractions.

Why is it important that we teach believers about the pursuit of vision? Because vision and purpose align to manifest in accordance with God’s Kingdom agenda, which is slated in the mandate of dominion.

To truly walk in dominion, bringing the culture of the Kingdom of Heaven to earth, every believer needs to pursue vision, using their God ordained purposes to accomplish what God has “purposed” for mankind and that is to dominate earth.

We need believers who are souled out and committed to the Kingdom of God to occupy every business sector, every industry, every level of politics, education and so forth. And to do so with a Kingdom mindset that is rooted in integrity, righteousness, and undergirded by the mandates of our King.

Imagine having believers standing in positions of authority, able to hire, teach, recruit, and lend, unwavering on the Word of God, being the example of the Kingdom, then and only then will there be a culture shift and then the Kingdom of God will have dominion over the earth.

  • WANTED: New Management

We Want To Hear From YOU!

Proverbs 25:28 A person without self-control is like a house with its doors and windows knocked out.

We live in a time when people profess their own truth, despite the fact that they may conflict with the truth of the Word of God, all to pacify their flesh and stroke their egos.  It has become more important to impress others, fit in or be part of a clique.

People are praised and gain followers for being out of control, for losing control, for breaking laws and conducting themselves in an undisciplined manner.

What the scripture describes is an abandoned house, exposed to all kinds of rodents, vagabonds and violators.  The longer it remains unmanaged the more the value is depreciated and eventually, as it is unprotected from life weather conditions, the wear and tear begins to eat at the flooring and disrupts the foundation of the entire house.

What I described is the same thing that happens when a person lives their lives out of control.  We have all had some time in our lives where we weren’t at our best, didn’t act our best, didn’t present our best, but God. God stepped in and took over the management of our lives, put our windows back in place, reinstalled our doors, and even put a new coat of paint on us. Never forget the bridge God has brought you over and the stuff he has delivered you from.

As believers, when we seek those who have made their life ritual one of living out of control, allowing their flesh, egos, power, position and money to manipulation their truth of right and wrong,  recognize,  they are lost and so engulfed in an ungodly agenda they don’t even recognize they are lost.

We need to pray for them,  not ridicule or mock them.  For in faith we know no one is beyond God's reach. Pray for them to be delivered and bought under Kingdom management and that they be extended the opportunity to hear and embrace the word of God.

  • The Groove of Grace

We Want To Hear From YOU!

We understand, embrace, welcome and even expect grace when we look to God, but how likely are we to extend grace. Ephesians 4 tells  us to  Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

We sin against God, walk in disobedience continuously, shun communication with God but He still bestows upon us his grace.  God keeps giving us second, third, fourth and five chances.

But we don’t want to forgive, or extend grace to another.  Today we embrace “cancel culture”, if someone does wrong, says the wrong thing, misunderstands, or voices their own opinion if it is not one that aligns with popular culture we ridicule, dismiss, degrade, ostracize, ruin their reputation and careers.

I for one, surely hope God doesn’t decide to grade us on the curve that we grade each other. Are we no longer allowed to make mistakes.  Are we no longer allowed to learn from our mistakes.  Have we become so docile that we can’t agree to disagree, that we can’t communicate and conversate without beheading the other person.

While repeatedly being extended grace, many of us have made life on earth a living hell, while we have held the pitchforks and added fuel to the fires.  We live our lives basking in the grace of God, as chosen ones without reference to Colossians 3:12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,

Each of us ARE extended the opportunity on a daily basis to be the light in darkness, as God has called us to be. Change the rhythm around you, COMMIT TO THE  groove of grace.
