  • Holly Frances - Life Support: Surviving Guillain-Barre Syndrome - A Mother's Story of Hope and Recovery
In early 2011, Holly was a healthy twenty-six year old who had just given birth to her first child, her daughter Casey. When Casey was less than a month old, Holly was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder called Guillain- Barre Syndrome (GBS). The disorder progressed very quickly and within 72 hours of her first symptom, she was in the ICU on life support. Holly spent almost three months paralyzed from the neck down, breathing on a ventilator. She was unable to move, speak, or hold her newborn baby girl. When she finally started to recover, she had to learn how to do everything again, including how to breathe off the ventilator, how to use her hands and feed herself, how to hold her daughter, and eventually how to walk again. Her daughter was almost 6 months old when she was finally able to return to her life as a wife and new mom.

After months of hard work and rehabilitation, Holly made an almost complete recovery. She then wrote her book, “Happily Ever After”, to share with others what she went through. Her goal in sharing her story was to reach others going through GBS and to create some much needed awareness on this rare but devastating illness. She wanted her story to remind others that through the difficult times in your life, you can find your strength. Her journey is documented in her viral YouTube Video – Holly’s Journey: From Guillain -Barre Syndrome to Happily Ever After.

Only a few years after her recovery, Holly found herself rebuilding her life all over again following the end of her decade long marriage. Instead of letting the struggles in her life break her, she used them to become stronger. Holly got herself a gym membership, and fell in love with fitness. She refused to make excuses or let her weaknesses hold her back, and gave it her all. Knowing that she had been in a wheelchair and used a walker at one point only helped her to push herself. Her determination and perseverance helped her conquer her goals, and she is now a certified fitness trainer in the best shape of her life.

Holly’s inspirational story has been all over international media, and she continues to share her experiences with the world. She volunteers with the GBS Foundation of Canada and connects with others in hopes of inspiring them to never, ever give up.

Holly now shares a life with her fiance and their blended family of five in Edmonton, Canada. She is currently at work on her new book Life Support which will replace Happily Ever After, will be published in May 2022.

  • Zane Landin - founder and President of Landing Dreams PR
From the dawn of childhood, I was always on a path to finding my personal identity. From an early age, I experienced depression and anxiety. This really impacted how I viewed myself and was an ongoing battle. I always felt something was wrong because I never seemed to “fit in” wherever I went. I was always more sensitive than most people, which was constantly pointed out. Even today, I tend to feel isolated and alone. I continually challenge myself by putting myself out there and trying new things. It can be emotionally exhausting, and when I reach those moments, I must set boundaries for my mental wellness.

One of my most defining moments was when my mother passed away last year. Hearing she passed away left me motionless in my thoughts. It was a shocking moment I will never forget. My mom was my biggest supporter and always advocated for me. She stood behind me and was passionate about anything I was working on. I was starting to speak on a few podcasts before, and she was proud every time I said. Recently, I have been grateful to speak on so many podcasts and share my journey.

The following week, after she passed away, I worked on different professional projects, including the magazine, because I knew that was what she would want more than anything. She wouldn’t want me to lose sight of my vision for the world. Even though it was incredibly hard, I didn’t want to make her any less proud of me. I have faced many rejections and setbacks, which one faces even more if they put themselves out there more. But my mother’s story is the most powerful one that has made me even more resilient. Before, I wanted to make myself and my mom proud, but now, it is more than that. It is about imprinting her legacy in the hearts of others, so they can experience the selflessness and beauty she carried.

It pains me I don’t get to hear her thoughts, feel her love, and see her reaction to some of the most amazing things that have ever happened to me, like being invited to the White House as a mental health advocate and meeting President Joseph Biden. Even though she is physically not here, I know in my heart she is here in a spiritual capacity. I recently had a dream about her, and it was so clear. A wave of peace and tranquility fell over me, and I knew she was beside me. It was one of my most pleasant dreams, making me feel fulfilled and happy.

  • Michael Jai White new film As Good As Dead, in theaters, On Demand and digital December 16th
    MICHAEL JAI WHITE BIO

A highly trained martial artist and actor, Michael Jai White has broken barriers as a Hollywood star and international box office sensation. With his dynamic personality, agile abilities and a physique of a bodybuilder, Michael has earned respect for his versatile talents both on and off screen.

Born November 10th in Brooklyn, New York, it was after watching the movie Five Fingers of Death, Michael's interest in the martial arts began. At the tender age seven, Michael started taking weekly Japanese Jujitsu classes to stay focused while growing up on the tough streets of Brooklyn. By age eight, Michael's family relocated to Bridgeport, Connecticut where he studied the Shotokan and Kyokushin forms of karate and earned his first black belt by age 13. Upton graduating from Bridgeport's Central High School, Michael went on to further his education, first attending Southern Connecticut and then UConn. While winning multiple championships as a national martial arts competitor, Michael became a Special Education teacher at Wilbur Cross Elementary School in Bridgeport.

Bitten by the acting bug in college, while teaching, Michael began auditioning for commercials and acting gigs on weekends and summer breaks. Michael landed the lead role of Tom Robinson in the first Off-Broadway adaptation of To Kill A Mockingbird, starring opposite Tony Award Winner George Grizzard. Shortly after, Michael began landing jobs in commercials and guest starring roles on television shows and films; he eventually left teaching and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career full-time.

Before long, Michael would go on to guest star on such hit television shows as Saved by the Bell, Martin, NYPD Blue, and CSI. Proving his acting ability, Michael would soon be cast for the lead role of legendary boxer Mike Tyson in the HBO biopic Tyson which solidified his legitimacy as a dramatic actor in Hollywood.

Michael was then cast to play the title character in the movie Spawn which came with the distinction of being the first black superhero in a major motion picture. As white cemented his Hollywood status as a bonafide action star, more diverse roles emerged that allowed him to showcase his physical prowess as well as display his on-screen charisma and comedic ability in such films as Exit Wounds, Undisputed 2, Silver Hawk, Blood & Bone, Black Dynamite and Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married and Why Did I Get Married Too playing opposite Tasha Smith. The two would ignite such on-screen chemistry, they would go on to start together in the long running OWN Network series, For Better or Worse.Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown, in which he also starred. Based on the cult film Black Dynamite which White created and starred, he would go on to write and produce the hit animated television series bearing the same name. He would also win over audiences in a string of films, including Chain of Command, Chocolate City, Skin Trade, and Falcon Rising. He also guest starred in the recurring role of Ben Turner / Bronze Tiger on The CW hit series Arrow. He is currently directing and starring in Sony Pictures third install, Never Back Down 3: No Surrender, and will also reprise his role as Princeton in the upcoming Chocolate City 2.

As a martial artist, in 2013 Michael achieved his 8th black belt from mentor and legendary undefeated kick-boxing champion, Bill "Superfood" Wallace and was honored by Black Belt Magazine as their 2014 Man of the Year. Continuing the legacy of such greats as Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme, Michael is now the #1 martial arts action star in in America.

Michael Jai White resides in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Gillian White and their three daughters.

  • Bryce Leatherwood – The Voice season 22 WINNER
    Photo provided by Trae Patton/NBC

Bryce grew up going to his granddaddy’s farm where they would ride around together and listen to country music. Bryce couldn’t imagine life without his grandfather, who was diagnosed with lung cancer when Bryce was young but is still going strong to this day. Bryce is finishing up his final year at Georgia Southern University and is completing a degree in business in hopes of managing his music career. The college bar scene is where got experience on stage, and it’s also how he pays his bills. He currently has a show booked and has sold 225 tickets in under a week. As always, Premiere Networks, in conjunction with NBC, brings you interviews with the contestants and winners season after season! The Voice is one of America's most popular shows, airing Mondays and Tuesdays.

ABOUT THE VOICE The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" has returned with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the show's newest season. Multi-Grammy-nominated Cuban-born singer-songwriter and actress Camila Cabello claims her red chair alongside superstar returning coaches John Legend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. Carson Daly returns as host for Season 22. The show's innovative format features four stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts and Live Performance Shows. During the Blind Auditions, the decisions from the coaches are based solely on voice and not looks. The coaches hear the artists perform but they don't get to see them, thanks to rotating chairs. If a coach is impressed by the artist's voice, they push a button to select the artist for their team. At this point, the coach's chair will swivel so that they can face the artist they selected. If more than one coach pushes the button, the power then shifts to the artist to choose which coach they want to work with. If no one pushes their button, the artist is eliminated from the competition. In addition to performing in front of a fully vaccinated, limited-capacity live audience, the artists' family and friends are able to attend their Blind Auditions in person for the first time since Season 18! Also returning this season is the block, which adds another layer of coach competition during the Blind Auditions. The coach chairs each have an extra set of buttons with the other three coaches' names on them, which prevents a coach from adding a new artist to his or her team. The coaches can only use their block buttons on one artist for the entire first round of the competition. The blocked coach only discovers they are blocked if they press their button, and though their chair will still turn, their lane lights up with "BLOCKED." If the coach doesn't press their button, the block is still available for another audition. Once the teams are set, the battle is on. The coaches dedicate themselves to developing their team of artists, giving them advice and sharing the secrets of their success, along with help from their celebrity advisors. The coaches enlist music industry heavyweights to prepare their artists for the Battle Rounds. This season's Battle Advisors include Charlie Puth (Team Camila), Jazmine Sullivan (Team Legend), Jimmie Allen (Team Blake) and Sean Paul (Team Gwen). During the Battle Rounds, the coaches will pit two of their own team members against each other to sing the same song together. The artists are vying for their coach's confidence and decision to take them to the next round. After each vocal battle, the coach must choose which of his or her artists will advance to the next round of competition. Each coach will have one save and one steal in the Battle Rounds. The losing artist is available to be saved by their own coach, but with the steals still in play, the artist could potentially choose to go with a different coach, leading to even tougher decisions for the coaches and artists. Artists who won their battle, were saved by their own coach or were stolen by another coach will advance to the Knockouts. Season 22 will showcase a new format element during the Knockout Rounds. For the first time ever, this phase of the competition will include three-way knockouts. The stakes have never been higher for the coaches and their artists as they vie for the win. In the Knockouts, the artists will be paired against two other teammates, but this time, they will select their own songs to perform individually while their direct competitors watch and wait. The coaches will choose the winner, and the artists not selected will be available to be stolen by another coach. The pressure is on as each coach will only have one steal in the Knockouts. In lieu of enlisting a Mega Mentor, the coaches will work with their artists directly to prepare them as best as possible for this new challenge. Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. This time, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. The artists with the lowest number of votes will be eligible for the Instant Save and will each perform a new song to prove why they should continue in the competition. America will then have the opportunity to save their favorite performer by voting on The Voice Official App or NBC.com. Those with the lowest number of votes will be sent home. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and will receive the grand prize of a recording contract. "The Voice" is a presentation of MGM Television, Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon and ITV Studios The Voice USA, Inc. The series was created by John de Mol, who serves as an executive producer along with Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson and Adam H. Sher.
