  • Music Artist Han Eryilmaz
Presenting‘Open Sesame’~Barista's third album'Open Sesame' is the continuation of my two earlier albums published under the alias ‘Barista’ and titled ‘Daydream’(2014) and ‘57’(2016). It is the product of 3 years of work. As of now, 39 songs have been recordedandI plan on featuring26of them in this album, releasingthem in recurring volumes. Thevolumes can be organized in relationto the subgenres of the songs, or, like a TV series it canbe spread out over time with severalsongs every 2 weeks or so.For someone like me who doesn't have anyformal music training, becoming a musician past my youth creates mixed feelings, both familiar and unfamiliar. I think this new album isabove the previous albums in terms of the sound. Regardingemotional content, I feel like I caught my first album Daydream's naïve enthusiasm a bit. I aimed atmaking music that is satisfying, multi-layered, with substanceand detail.I strived for the lyrics to convey a theme, story, idea,or experience in unity, and to do so with prosody and harmony. These themes are more of individual inner worlds than pop culture. I am not targeting a specific audience or looking fortangible commercial success, all I want is for people to be aware of the existence of this album, and to promote it as much as possible. I am aware that itis not in compliance with the current trends and main music industry dynamics, but I also know there are many people like me out there with a taste in indie music and/or who miss hearing music with body. Not craving for becoming a touring band, either; this is a studio effort-although Barista has heldfive live shows. Demos of the songs were prepared in my studio in Istanbul, and therecordings (excluding the Turkish vocals) were made at Carbonite Soundin the ‘musicians’colony’of Ojai, CA.I attended all the recordings, and some were doneonline. As a matter of principle, all instruments are absolutelylive.I am thrilled thatsomeof my most favorite musicians have been a part of theprocess, such as:Simon Phillips Drums: Toto, Judas Priest, The Who, Tears for Fears, Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck, Protocol....Jesse Siebenberg Guitarsand keys: Supertramp, Kenny Loggins, Amy Adams..Brian Duffy Vocals: Guns' Roses, Velvet Revolver, Lady Gaga...Lydia Salnikova Vocals: Kenny Rogers, BO .
for the Love of music! The sound engineer isJason Mariani, who also did most of the mixingalong with Simon. Jason is an accomplished engineer, avid music fanatic, and a fabulous team player; gives his best whether the client in Barista or Metallica (there were in right before us)! My friends Burak Büker, Evren Arkman, Metin Kahyaoglu, andCan Bora Gençattended the production in Turkey. The release will be under ‘Mono’ label who are a small Turkish, local indie label, and distributed by Orchard.

  • Natasha Perez co-star of SELENA: THE SERIES, returning for Season 2 on Netflix
    ABOUT NATASHA PEREZ

Natasha is an American actress, singer, comedienne and writer who made her American cinematic debut in 2006 in M. Night Shyamalan's movie Lady in the Water. She is known for playing the role of Matilda on the HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm opposing Larry David and now for playing the iconic role of Yolanda Saldivar on the Netflix show Selena: The Series

. Perez's character, Yolanda Saldivar appears in limited capacity in Season 1 and now she solidifies her role as one of the main characters in Season 2. Selena: The Series chronicles the life, career and untimely murder of Tejano singer, Selena in 1995. Her success and rise to stardom was cut short at the hands of Saldivar, an RN and president of Selena's fan club.

Perez realizes the delicate nature of her true life character and her intention in doing interviews is not to glamorize or glorify Saldivar. As an actress she is proud of her work and honesty in portraying this complex character and hopes that this series continues to honor and pay homage to the talented, intelligent and beautiful human being that was Selena.

Perez played a villain for the first time on 2019 on the Prime released teen comedy movie Baja along Mark Margolis, Kurt Fuller and Jake Thomas. Perez has appeared in funny sketches alongside Channing Tatum and Guillermo Diaz on Jimmy Kimmel Live and as a teenager in primetime shows like The District and ER. Although comedy has been Natasha's focus in the past few years, she is also versed in Drama as an alumni of The Lee Strasberg Acting Studio in Los Angeles. Pre-covid, Perez was part of The Groundling founder's troop Dog Bread and you could also often see her performing at UCB, The Pack and Second City in Los Angeles where she is based, even sharing the stage with starts like Jason Alexander or Helen Hunt as part of the Turbine Collective.

Natasha - of Italian descent - was born in Venezuela and her acting career started very early under the guidance of her family of entertainers and advertising legends, with whom she began acting, playing music, and composing. She was nine months old when she shot her first commercial. Her performance in Paloma, a musical short film produced and starred in by Steven Bauer, earned her a Best Supporting Actress award at the Washington World Music & Independent Film Festival.

La Opinion referred to her as "The number one female voice in Spanish in the U.S." because Perez has been the voice of almost every advertiser one can think of. One of the stars of the PBS documentary Now en Español for her role as a lead dubbing-actress on ABC's Desperate Housewives, Lost and Grey's Anatomy for Spanish speaking audiences in the United States among many other dubbing roles in film and television. Natasha has been dubbing since she was a teenager but has done voice work since she was a toddler.

Currently, her voice can be heard on shows like Nickelodeon's Hobby Kids Adventures, Bojack Horseman, Tuca and Bertie, and Casa de Papel.

Perez holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications Science from Catholic University with a specialization in audiovisual studies and a minor in Performance Arts. Natasha's exposure to Los Angeles Latino audiences began when her voice awakened Angelinos as the host and producer of the second largest Pop & Rock Latino radio station in L.A. at the time: VIVA 107.1 FM.

As a singer-songwriter, Natasha has placed her songs in different media from TV shows like Amazon's Sneaky Pete: and HBO's Entourage, to movies like the Argentinian film Cuestión de Principios, and the Venezuelan film La Hora Cero. She has scored plays like Damien Calderon's Huellas for the Frida Kahlo Theatre and co-created over dozens of jingles for commercials. For the past couple of years, Perez has been exploring a new sound - a mix of comedic indie, jazz- autochthonous textures and pop. She is currently working with producer Rudy La Scala to release a tribute cover track of one Selena's songs.

Natasha Pérez is also a published writer. She has participated in several comedy festivals with her solo piece Summer Camp, a 10 minute musical show written and performed by her and directed by Rick Najera (CBS'Diversity) and Arianne Price (Bridemaids).

The book Hembravecidas was launched in Mexico and released in Los Angeles under the title Antología Bi-Nacional (Bi-national Anthology) where she collaborated with several female identity stories. As a journalist, Natasha has written countless of articles in publications like El Metropolitano in Caracas, Hoy Newspaper and La Banda Elástica in LA.

ABOUT SELINA: THE SERIES, SEASON 2 (FROM SCREENRANT.COM

The trailer for part two of Netflix's Selena: The Seriesforeshadows Selena's (Christian Serratos) tragic murder. Part one of the Netflix series loosely told the real-life story of the first twenty years of Selena Quintanilla's life, highlighting her rise to fame as a bonafide singing sensation. The part one finale concluded in the year 1990, with an introduction of the evil Yolanda Saldivar (Natasha Perez). Part one stopped short of when Selena truly found her voice, before it was tragically silenced in 1995.

The part two trailer poses the question to Selena: "When you're gone, how do you want to be remembered?" It's a sad question in hindsight, but the trailer also highlights some of Selena's career triumphs, like her iconic "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom" performance. Check out the full Netflix trailer below:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMhS0UfY_o4

The trailer looks exciting and highlights some of the struggles Selena had to go through in her personal life and career as a recording artist. Part one of Selena: The Series was criticized for not focusing on Selena herself enough. Hopefully part two will remedy that by keeping the spotlight on the star herself. That way fans old and new can appreciate and respect the legacy that the legendary Queen of Tejano Music left behind after her tragic murder at the age of 23 at the hands of her former fan club president, Yolanda Saldivar.

Selena Quintanilla's life was cut short way too soon, but the legacy she left behind continues to remain strong to this day. Hopefully part two of Selena: The Series will pay proper tribute to the woman who blazed a powerful light during her life. As Selena says in the trailer, "I just want to be remembered as someone who gave it her all." Part two premieres on Netflix on May 4th.

  • Lala Kent Talks About Her New Book - GIVE THEM LALA
ABOUT LALA KENT AND HER BOOK GIVE THEM LALA

Lala Kent is one of today's most recognizable personalities, a rising actress, and the founder of Give Them Lala Beauty. This May, Lala will bring her talents to the page with GIVE THEM LALA, a debut collection of humorous and brutally honest essays (Gallery Books; on sale 5/4/21). Lala (born Lauren Burningham) brings her signature sharp wit and endearing vulnerability to the page, exploring her rocky road to fame, sobriety, and beyond. Known for her authentic, adventurous, and unapologetic approach to life, Lala's essay collection gives fans a first-hand, in-depth look into the experiences and emotions that have shaped her into the dynamic success she is today - and shares with readers how, they too, can embrace the best versions of themselves without feeling guilty for deserving more. "I've learned the importance of sharing the most vulnerable parts of myself with the people I love," Lala said. "GIVE THEM LALA acts a reminder for me to never play a role and to always be the realest version of me."

With the turn of each page, Lala artfully leads readers through her Utah upbringing, path to Hollywood's big and small screens, the expansion of her lifestyle empire, and her intimate journey towards love, motherhood, and personal fulfillment. Through these candid, insightful, and often cheeky anecdotes, she also reveals how women can - and should - feel just as free as men when it comes to sex, how sobriety saved her life and relationship, and how we should treasure every day we have with those we love.

    ABOUT LALA KENT

Lala Kent rose to fame on Bravo's Vanderpump Rules, and has since become a wildly popular media personality, and ultimately coined the phrase "Give Them Lala". This phrase paved the way for her beauty empire, Give Them Lala Beauty, and her ambitious, fun, and talented personality has led her to a massive following worldwide.

As an actress, Lala recently played the lead role in the Lionsgate horror film The Row. She has also played major parts in past films like Vault, Dudes & Dragons, Pitching Love and Catching Faith, One Shot, and The Mentor. Lala's hit single "Boy" reached #1 in the Electronic genre on iTunes in 2018.

LALA KENT HAD HER BABY AND THE NEWBORN'S NAME IS MAKING WAVES (FROM TODAY MARCH 15TH)

Lala Kent and fiancé Randall Emmett have welcomed their first child together - and you might say the little girl's name is making waves.

The "Vanderpump Rules" star, 30, announced the arrival of daughter Ocean Kent Emmett on Instagram on Monday by sharing a fresh-faced photo of herself and her newborn baby lying together in their hospital bed.

Proud dad Emmett, 49, shared the same pic on his Instagram page, gushing, "She's healthy, beautiful, and perfect like her mother!"

He also posted an earlier photo of Kent lying in her hospital bed prior to Ocean's arrival. "And so it begins........." he captioned it.

The couple announced they were expecting in September on their podcast, "Give Them Lala . with Randall."

"I'm, like, shaking right now because I can't believe that it's a real-life thing," Kent told listeners. "I'm really emotional. . I cry about everything, but today it's very much happy tears. ... For my 30th birthday, I have the best gift given to me - my body also helped out too - I am pregnant."

The reality star, who first started appearing on "Vanderpump Rules" in season four, also said she was still getting used to the idea of motherhood.

"Life is really hitting me in the face," she said. "Holy s---, I'm turning 30, there's something living inside of me, growing, which is in itself - what is this alien thing happening? My life is changing very quickly."

Shortly afterward, the couple announced in a skydiving pregnancy reveal - complete with bright pink parachute - that their baby on the way was a girl.

While Ocean is the first child for Kent, Emmett, a TV and film producer, has two daughters from his previous marriage to actor Ambyr Childers.

  • Joey Stuckey: A Blind Musician With An Insightful Vision
Joey Stuckey is an award-winning blind guitarist, songwriter, singer, composer, producer, radio and television personality, music columnist, educator and sound engineer. He is also the official music ambassador for his home town of Macon Georgia.

Joey's guitar style is reminiscent of rocker Jeff Beck and jazzer Wes Montgomery, while his vocal influences range from Mel Torme to Gregg Allman.

As an infant, Joey lost his sight and sense of smell as the result of a brain tumor and was introduced to music from an early age. His mother enjoyed opera, while his dad enjoyed country music. When he was 13, Stuckey developed pneumonia and eventually had to be home schooled for an entire year.

"I lived for my shows on Saturdays," says Joey. "I was a huge fan of public radio and on Saturdays, I listened to a show called, 'After Space.' It was DJ'd and produced by a guy called Rob Thomas (who eventually became a good friend and is still a great friend today). He would play radio shows like, 'The Lone Ranger,' 'The Shadow,' and other classic shows. I was so enamored with these stories - the sound effects and narration broadcast in a format accessible for the blind were just amazing." The show was produced so eloquently, Joey decided that sound production was what he wanted to do with his life.

What began as a simple statement turned into a life-long passion. After that evolutionary period in his life, Joey bought all kinds of sound equipment and was soon recording sessions in his house with various garage bands. He was amazed at the writing ability from the many musicians he came across. "I realized, at that point, that there were things I wanted to share with the world," says Stuckey. "And I knew that the medium for that was music."

Without missing a beat, Joey graduated from high school at the age of 14 and at 17, began his musical career by taking classical guitar lessons from noted music professor Terry Cantwell. Joey went on to attend Mercer University. He furthered his musical education by studying with renowned jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan and later, with Professor Steven Crowell.

Despite his physical limitations, Joey has flourished in every aspect of his life. He released several albums, including 'Take A Walk In The Shadows' (1995), 'Ironies, Pain And The Light That Guides' (1999), 'Live And Stuff,' (2000), 'Live And More Stuff,' (2001), 'So Far,' (2003), 'Oceanside,' (2009), 'The Shadow Sound,' (2011), 'Mixture' (2012) and 'The Acoustic Sessions, Volume I' (2014). Joey experienced national success with the launch of 'Mixture,' which reached #9 on the CMJ Top 40 Jazz Charts for North America.

In 2002, Joey met his wife, Jennifer, who works as a certified nurse midwife in Macon. He is also the owner and sound engineer of a recording facility, Shadow Sound Studio in Macon, which boasts vintage analog gear and state-of-the-art digital technology.

Joey enjoys promoting music in various ways. He is a featured music columnist for the webzine 'Portal Magazine' and contributes regularly to a music blog on 'Gateway Macon,' where he writes about the history of music in Macon and other music-related topics.

Joey is currently involved with students, instructing them on guitar, voice, music theory, and sound engineering. He is the professor of Music Technology at Mercer University and an official mentor for the Recording Connections School in Los Angeles. No stranger to musical theater, he was the music director for Macon State College's production of 'The Rocky Horror Show' in the fall of 2002. Recently, Joey has taken on the role of music publisher and has a growing catalog of great songs in multiple genres. His publishing companies include Sociology Publishing (BMI) and Sign Wave Publishing (ASCAP).

Joey and his band, The Joey Stuckey Band, perform nationally. They have opened for legendary artists such as TED NUGENT, BAD COMPANY, TRISHA YEARWOOD, JAMES BROWN, CLARENCE CARTER, WET WILLIE, THE B-52'S, KEVIN KINNEY FROM DRIVIN' N CRYIN, and SMASHMOUTH. In his other roles as either producer, composer, music columnist, and sound engineer or hired musician, Joey has worked with musical greats including GEORGE THOROGOOD, ALAN PARSONS (PINK FLOYD, THE ALAN PARSONS PROJECT), ROSS HOGARTH (PRODUCER FOR VAN HALEN, JOHN MELLENCAMP, BONNIE RAITT), BILLY DUFF (THE CULT), JOE SOLO (PRODUCER FOR MACY GRAY), DANNY SERAPHINE (CHICAGO), BEN TUCKER (HERBIE MANN), DAVID RAGSDALE (KANSAS, SMASHING PUMPKINS), ALLEN VIZZUTTI (CHICK COREA BAND), SAMMY NESTICO (COUNT BASIE ORCHESTRA), DAVID BERGER (ARRANGER AND CONDUCTOR FOR JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER, ARRANGER FOR NATALIE COLE, ROSEMARY CLOONEY, MADELEINE PEYROUX AND CECILE MCLORIN SALEANT), SHANNON FOREST (TOTO, TAYLOR SWIFT, RASCAL FLATTS), CHARLIE HOSKYNS (THE POPES), PAUL MCGUINNESS (THE POGUES), WILL MORRISON (MODERN ENGLISH), CHUCK LEAVELL, RANDALL BRAMBLETT (TRAFFIC, GREG ALLMAN), HUGHIE THOMASSON (FROM LYNYRD SKYNARD AND THE OUTLAWS), JIMMY HERRING (FROM THE AQUARIUM RESCUE UNIT, FROG WING, THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND, AND THE OTHERS/GRATEFUL DEAD), MIKE MILLS from R.E.M and many, many others. In short, Joey is a young man with an enormous talent, clear vision, and a tireless work ethic, who is well respected by his peers, fans, and more than a few legends.

Joey released his new single, 'Blind Man Drivin' in London, England on March 12, 2015 during his Spring tour.
