  • Ingomma’s founder, CEO, and Creative Director Melina Salomon
The world can be a very dull place if you let the status quo remain. Ingomma’s founder, CEO, and Creative Director Melina Salomon is a multidisciplinary Industrial Designer who learned the design trade in Brazil. Melina saw that the imagination and appetite for different ideas were flat. People were making safe choices and taking conventional paths. Like a true innovator, she tried her first invention on herself, designing and wearing accessories made from rubber but using a new fabrication technique. A Kickstarter campaign followed, where she found 300 other like-minded people who subscribed to her campaign and bought her accessories. This was early validation that this new material could become a business. In 2015, she filed a provisional patent introducing Ingomma technology and materials to serve a new B2B market of consumer product designers. She is driven by the opportunity of the new method she has patented and collaborations she can offer to her peers in the fashion trade. Melina’s role in leading the company is both practical in terms of business strategy, product development and execution, and thought leadership.

  • Music Artist Gary Pratt
"Something Worth Remembering", is dedicated to his brother who recently passed. The album is a combination of Gary's originals and songs written by credited Nashville writers. The title track was written by Grammy Award Nominee Tony Arata, who wrote Garth Brooks' "The Dance". This project has been in the making for over a year. It was recorded at Tonic Studios with Engineer Doug Kasper, Producer Bryan Cole and Musician/Artist Adam Ernst. Excited about this new album, Gary invited MTS Male Vocalist Matt Westin and Female Vocalist Savannah Nider to help out on a few songs. Savannah and Gary recorded the duet he wrote, "To Find Us", at Omni Studios in Nashville. It was the first time Gary and Savannah actually met and they are now making plans to write together in the future. Gary is forever thankful to God for walking with him through life, paving this music journey and for putting the gift of music in his heart. Not only has music been an outlet emotionally and has helped Gary through some rough times, it has brought family together and has introduced him to some of the most amazing people he is proud to call friends.

  • Music Artist Greg Hoy
( Lorne Behrman) Greg Hoy is many things. He’s a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, a recording producer, a recording engineer, something of a marketing guru, a jingle and sound composer and producer, a 'people engineer' in the tech world, an art director, and a label owner. But when you boil it all down — he’s really just a guy in a band.

“Music is in everything I do. Helping companies hiring people is just like putting a band together. I’ve been fortunate that both sides of my brain work in tandem,” the California-based artist says with a good-natured laugh.

With his 2020 tour cancelled due to... well, you know what, Greg managed to coax East Bay, California's Tiny Telephone studio owner John Vanderslice into letting he and his band social distance to make 'Cacophony' - an 11 song cycle now out on gold vinyl - written and recorded in just two weeks. The lyrically output was heavy: birth, death, pandemics, and fires. But that fast and furious creative drive is what propels him to create.

When you do more, you do more. So, maybe, it’s the collective inertia of all his projects that propels Greg’s prolific output? Somehow, between wearing so many hats — including tirelessly touring the nation in a vintage Airstream on the Limited Mileage tour throughout 2019 — he made time to write and a record a refreshingly eclectic, 22-song double-vinyl self-tiled concept album released as the self-titled Greg Hoy & The Boys.

His last 2019 release, Enjoy the View, was recorded mostly live by audio legend Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, PJ Harvey) in Chicago & mixed in Oregon by the equally amazing Sylvia Massy (Tool, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers). Clocking in at just under 20 minutes, the band pushed the limits as a meaty 3 piece. The result is an immediately hooky slab of caffeinated, propulsive, plug-in-and-play rock n roll.

To date, the restless creative has issued over 30 albums under various monikers, including The Royal Panics, Greg Hoy (“no boys” for intimate releases), Greg Hoy & The Boys, and Twice As Bright. Mostly these days, he fires up Greg Hoy & The Boys, a loose collective of friends and trusted musicians that includes boys and girls.

Greg’s vibrantly diverse output harkens back to the bedroom 4-track visionary aesthetic of 1990s indie-rock, as epitomized by Guided By Voices and its fearless leader Bob Pollard. When you distill it all down, Greg plays retro rock n’ roll meticulously crafted from the timeless essentials of infectious melodies paired with undeniable grooves. Yet, within this focused path, Greg issues diverse albums aligned in spirit with such singular artists as Jack White, Dave Grohl, Neil Young, Queens Of The Stone Age, Cake, The Jam, The Who, The Beatles... “All the ‘the something’ bands,” Greg playfully adds.

Throughout his wildly fishtailing career, Greg has worked with Glenn Branca, J. Robbins, Steve Albini, and drummer Steve Sutherland, late of Grant Hart's Nova Mob, among others. Greg’s songs have been featured on network television shows such as One Tree Hill and MTV's Made. Select live highlights in Greg’s career include performances at Noise Pop, SXSW, CMJ, and on the main stage at Latitude Festival in the UK.

When off stage or not recording as an artist, Greg runs the record label, 30 Peak, and does production / soundtrack work. In this latter context, his music and sound design has been featured in Pinterest brand videos, American Express commercials, and as game effects for the software platform Adobe. Outside of the world of sonics, Greg works as a “people engineer” in tech, and he’s known for having hired & built the first creative teams for Facebook, Pinterest, and Lyft.

Greg’s story in music begins at the age of 5 with the big bang of hearing Led Zeppelin’s 'Whole Lotta Love' on headphones with his big brother. “I was immediately drawn to the richness of the sound, and the idea that you could manipulate emotions with sound—like a certain fuzzed out guitar and drum beat could make you feel a certain way,” Greg explains.

Later on, while attending Westminster College in Western Pennsylvania, Greg became a whiz with a four-track cassette recorder, recording his own songs as a multi-instrumentalist, and honing his lo-fi production chops tracking local bands. During this time, Greg also furthered his creative reach through working other bands as a guitarist, keyboardist, and a drummer. His debut became a buzzed-about tape, and 30 albums and two decades later he’s still a DIY-spirited artist freely exploring his artistic whims.

Greg’s double album might be his most ambitious and personally poignant. He formed his music tastes through listening sessions with his mother who had a subscription to the Columbia House monthly CD series. Together, the two soaked up the sounds of Huey Lewis and the News, INXS, Chicago, and Led Zeppelin. Those were epiphanic moments for Greg as a budding music fan, and they’re treasured times he spent with his mother.

A few years ago, his mother was terminally ill and Greg was there by her bedside. He recalls: “As she was passing, I would get the CDs we would listen to together, and then go to the studio and play along on drums to our favorite songs. I realized the best thing I can do emotionally is to make a record to process it all.”

Those drum tracks became the foundation for the songs on Greg’s album. The songs also inspired emotive moods, and first-time instrument choices — like the use of saxophone on 'Ready Rock Steady.' The album can be digested almost like four grouped-together EPs.

Greg Hoy & The Boys explores a wide array of thematic threads. At times, the songs are the wry musings of a middle-aged guy stuck in the millennial-addled tech world. Some tunes point out the dichotomy of being at the forefront of technology while still loving the lo-fi world of real drums and tape recorders. “Others are about birth, death, drugs, and rock n’ roll,” adds Greg. Interspersed within these loose concepts, is the arc of Greg’s mother’s passing.

Select album standouts include 'Brilliant Jerk,' '(Keep Feeling) Caffeination,' 'Participation Award,' and “Ready Rock Steady.” The dance-y indie rock of “Brilliant Jerk” froths over with acerbic lyrical wit and twitch-y art-funk that recalls LCD Soundsystem, Gang Of Four, and Fugazi. Lyrically, this is playfully barbed social commentary on the onslaught of brainy bastards in the tech world. The tune’s accompanying video is culled from stock footage as sort of a meta statement on how, when peeled back, what passes for “brilliance” in this world can be flimsy ideas puffed up by big egos.

The playfully titled '(Keep Feeling) Caffeination' — the title is a nod to the Human League’s synth-pop gem '(Keep Feeling) Fascination'—is a sizzling rockabilly boogie number rife with savory puns. The song, and its accompanying video, pulls no punches in addressing a seldomly-addressed toxic social epidemic.

    About the Show

The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" celebrates its 10th anniversary with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the show's newest season, which returns on March 1.

Pop music sensation Nick Jonas reclaims his red chair alongside superstar Coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Blake Shelton as they return for Season 20. Carson Daly returns as host.

The show's innovative format features four stages of competition: the first begins with the Blind Auditions, then the Battle Rounds, Knockouts and, finally, the Live Performance Shows.

During the Blind Auditions, the decisions from the musician coaches are based solely on voice and not looks. The coaches hear the artists perform but they don't get to see them, thanks to rotating chairs. If a coach is impressed by the artist's voice, that coach pushes a button to select the artist for their team. At this point, the coach's chair will swivel so that they can face the artist they selected. If more than one coach pushes the button, the power then shifts to the artists to choose which coach they want to work with. If no coach pushes their button, the artist is eliminated from the competition.

Also returning this season is the block, which adds another layer of excitement during the Blind Auditions. The coach chairs each have an extra set of buttons with the other three coaches' names. The block button prevents a coach from adding a new artist to their team. The coaches can only use their block buttons on one artist for the entire first round of the competition. When a coach hits the block button with the name of one of the other three coaches, the coach who hit it automatically turns around. The blocked coach only discovers they are blocked if they press their button. The blocked coach's chair will still turn, but instead of their lane lighting up with their name, it says "BLOCKED." If the coach doesn't press their button, the block is still available for another audition.

Once the teams are set, the battle is on. The coaches dedicate themselves to developing their team of artists, giving them advice and sharing the secrets of their success, along with help from their celebrity advisors. The coaches enlist music industry heavyweights to prepare their artists for the Battle Rounds. This season's Battle Advisors include international chart-topping Grammy-winning artist Luis Fonsi (Team Kelly), Multi-hyphenated Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning actor and musician Darren Criss (Team Nick), Grammy-winning R&B singer and icon Brandy (Team Legend) and Grammy-winning country music duo Dan + Shay (Team Blake).

During the Battle Rounds, the coaches will pit two of their own team members against each other to sing the same song together in front of a virtual audience. They are vying for their coach's confidence and decision to take them to the next round.

After each vocal battle, the coach must choose which of his/her singers will advance to the next round of competition. The losing artist is available to be stolen by another coach or available to be saved by their own coach, but the team coach can only hit their button to save an artist after it's clear no other coach is going to steal the artist. If no other coach has attempted to steal the artist by the time they get down the stage steps, the artist's coach can push the button to save them. Each coach will have one save and one steal in the Battle Rounds. Artists who won their battle or were stolen by another coach will advance to the Knockouts.

The four artists that were saved by their individual coaches during the Battle Rounds will not automatically advance in the competition. Instead, those artists will compete in the Four-Way Knockout. Each of the four artists will receive individualized coaching and rehearsals with their coach and a superstar Mega Mentor in preparation for the Four-Way Knockout. However, the winner will ultimately be chosen by America. At the top of the final episode of the Knockouts, voting will open for America to choose which of the four artists moves forward in the competition after their performances. At the top of the first Live Show, Carson Daly will reveal which of the four artists was voted through by America, and that artist will continue to the Live Shows with their original team.

For the remainder of the artists who made it to the Knockouts, one superstar Mega Mentor will be on hand to work with all the coaches and their teams as they prepare the artists for this challenge. In the Knockouts, the artists will be paired against a teammate once more, but this time, they will select their own songs to perform individually while their direct competitor watches and waits. The coaches will choose the winner, and the artist not selected will be available to be stolen by another coach. Each coach will only have one steal in the Knockouts.

Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete each week against each other during a live broadcast. As always, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. The artists with the lowest number of votes will be eligible for the Instant Save. These artists will each perform a new song that represents why they should earn the save. America will then have the opportunity to save their favorite performer by voting on The Voice Official App or NBC.com. The singers with the lowest number of votes will be sent home each week. In the end, one will be named "The Voice" and will receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

"The Voice" is a presentation of MGM Television, Warner Horizon Unscripted & Alternative Television and ITV Studios The Voice USA, Inc. The series was created by John de Mol, who serves as an executive producer along with Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson and Adam H. Sher.

  • Radio Personality - Jenaia Nicole
Jenaia has been a NBA fan ever since she can remember. She loved basketball so much that she thought she was going to be the first woman in the NBA. She is from the Chicagoland area (Joliet, IL) and grew up during the Michael Jordan/Scottie Pippen era with the Chicago Bulls. She was more of a Pippen girl! Then Jenaia became fascinated with Shaquille O’Neil. She had his action figure, plaques of him in her room and Orlando Magic sheets. She felt he was just such a dominate player shattering backboards and tearing down rims. So when Shaq went to Los Angeles Lakers so did Jenaia. She is a Lakers fan through and through. She even lived in LA in 2010 and that is when she went to a Los Angeles Dodgers game and saw some women her age rocking LA Dodgers baseball hats; NEW ERA® 59FIFTY®. She thought to herself, “Bet, I can rock a baseball hat and look cute too.” She shortly moved back to the Chicagoland area for a new job and the first two NEW ERA® 59FIFTY® baseball hats she purchased from Lids were LA Dodgers and Chicago White Sox. She grew up going to Chicago White Sox games with her mom. If you are from the Chicagoland area you know you have to pick a side lol! Northside – Chicago Cubs; Southside – Chicago White Sox!!! You already know what it is…..White Sox, everyday, all day! This is the one Chicago team Jenaia is truly loyal to! Jenaia is such a huge sports fan she got married at U.S. Cellular Field at home plate. From there she knew she wanted to work in sports but was not sure how. Three weeks after getting married she moved to Texas and soon after moved to San Antonio. She ended up volunteering at the UTSA football games in the press box as a Media Communications Runner. That opportunity lead volunteering in a few UTSA men’s basketball games to the Alamo Bowl to Men’s NCAA Final Four that was hosted in San Antonio. Then came her position as the Media Credential Will-Call Coordinator for the San Antonio Commanders. She also participated in a contest called Rock The Mic ESPN San Antonio was first runner up out of one hundred men. She was the only woman. Leaving that competition she received a text message from a friend telling her that there was a spot open for a Media Communications Runner with the Houston Texans. She immediately interviewed for the job and landed it. She still currently works for the team, but took the season off due to Covid. Jenaia also worked for the San Antonio Spurs as a 50/50 Raffle Representative and last, but not least she interned at Sports2Nite; a San Antonio sports TV show. Now, Jenaia is ready to focus on Sports By The Numbers and all the other assignments God has her on in 2021.

  • Music Artist Emily Anderson
Like stumbling into a rose garden on a trek through the arctic, listeners of Emily Anderson’s music find themselves helplessly lifted into a world so hauntingly familiar, and yet so enchantingly curious. Anderson’s music is as shaped by this whimsical perspective as it is by her musical credentials. A multi-instrumentalist trained at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Anderson fills her songs with images of nature, hope, and the solar system, not to mention a few puns. Anderson hails from Fairbanks, Alaska, and now splits her time between her hometown and Los Angeles.

Her upbringing in a tight-knit community has shared her musical perspective. One radio reviewer remarked of her 2017 full-length album Simple Things, “Emily Anderson’s music shatters the imagery you might have of surviving the long dark winters while living in Fairbanks, AK. One might expect dark introspection or a songwriter who bites back at life, but the songs on Simple Things are warm and emotive.”

In recent years, Anderson has lent her skills to video games and game trailers Calico and The Stars Between Us, and shared bills with Danielle Ate the Sandwich, Peter Mulvey, and Aurora Birch. She’s toured across Alaska, the west coast, and Canada. She has also released three new singles, “Sarah,” “Gold,” and, on February 5, 2021, “Hugs.” The second, “Gold,” has been placed in a national ad campaign with Miller Lite, and was a finalist in both the American Songwriter and Songwriting University Song Contests. These songs, which tackle subjects like grief, mental illness, friendship, and pandemic isolation, are optimistic as well as raw. Anderson’s music reflects her determination to find light in tough times.
