Something feels off in relationships right now—and not just online. In homes. In marriages. In beds. In the silence after conversations that never really finished.
In this episode, I’m not here to shame men or glorify women. I’m here to talk about patterns—because what we keep calling a “gender war” is really healing colliding with what refuses to change.
We talk about:
And like I do in many of my episodes, I’ll ask you questions—not to judge you—but to help you self-analyze.
Pause and ask yourself:
Am I with an unchanged person?
Am I the one who’s stuck?
Am I evolving… or protecting patterns?
If this episode puts words to something you’ve been feeling, share it with someone who needs it—and don’t skip the self-check. That’s where the shift starts.
Subscribe, follow, and leave a review if you can.
I love you. I’m proud of you. And I’ll see you in the next episode of I Am Spice.

Survival mode doesn’t just exhaust you — it slowly becomes your identity.
In this episode of I Am Spice, we explore how survival mode forms, why so many people live in constant fight-or-flight without realizing it, and what happens when life finally slows down and you’re left wondering who you are without the chaos.
This is an honest conversation about nervous system survival, emotional over-functioning, hyper-independence, and the loneliness that often comes with healing and growth. We talk about how survival mode begins in childhood or adulthood, how it shapes relationships and identity, why calm can feel uncomfortable, and why healing often creates distance from people who only knew your survival version.
This episode is for anyone who:
– Feels guilty when resting
– Feels anxious when life is calm
– Equates productivity with self-worth
– Overfunctions for others
– Struggles to ask for help
– Feels lost now that survival is no longer required
Healing isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about remembering who you were before survival became your personality.

• Cómo eliges a tus parejas
• Cómo muestras afecto
• Cómo crías a tus hijos

Most of us grow up believing our reactions are random — that the way we love, argue, communicate, shut down, or parent “just happens.”
But none of it is random.
Every pattern has a source.
In this powerful episode, we explore how your childhood shaped your emotional blueprint:
We dive deep into:
The hidden lessons you absorbed as a child Why emotional education is so new Why our parents couldn’t teach what they didn’t know What it means to be the first emotionally aware generation Breaking cycles vs. repeating cycles Parenting with intention, not inherited survival tools Becoming the parent your inner child needed
You’ll walk away with clarity, compassion, and a new understanding of yourself — and your relationships.

Today we’re diving into a topic that millions experience but almost no one knows how to name: intimacy anorexia — the painful dynamic where you are with someone yet feel completely alone.
In this episode, we explore:
• What intimacy anorexia really is
• How an intimacy-avoidant partner behaves
• Why they seem emotionally open with others but closed with you
• What emotional starvation feels like inside a relationship
• Childhood wounds and trauma patterns that create intimacy avoidance
• The common excuses (“I’m tired,” “I’m stressed,” distractions, phone use)
• Hidden addictions and stimulation cycles
• How to know if YOU are the avoidant partner
• How to know if YOU are the emotionally starving partner
• How to talk about this without triggering shutdown
• When healing is possible — and when leaving becomes self-protection

In this episode, dropping the day before Thanksgiving, I want to start exactly where my heart is:
I’m grateful.
Grateful for the woman I became.
Grateful for the versions of me that didn’t know better but kept trying.
Grateful for the boundaries I set quietly and the peace I chose loudly.
Grateful for the courage it took to stop explaining myself — and start becoming myself.
And I’m grateful for YOU.
For listening, healing, growing, and choosing yourself every time you press play.
Today we’re diving deep into something that transformed my entire life:
The woman I became when I stopped explaining myself.
Because for so long, I thought over-explaining was respect, politeness, humility, survival.
But really, it kept me small. It kept me tired.
And it kept me living for other people’s comfort instead of my own truth.
In this episode, we talk about:
• Why women — especially women of color — are conditioned to over-explain
• How explaining yourself keeps your nervous system in survival mode
• The moment I realized I didn’t owe anyone clarity to be respected
• The people who benefit from your silence vs. the ones who honor your growth
• The emotional evolution that happens when you stop shrinking to be understood
• The calm, grounded, powerful version of you that rises when you stop justifying your life
• Why your decisions, your peace, and your healing are a complete explanation on their own
I also share the real-life shifts I made without explaining anything:
cutting my hair, leaving my first marriage, breaking generational patterns, raising my kids my way, setting boundaries with family, choosing peace over tradition, and stepping into my feminine energy with no apology.
Before Thanksgiving, I want this message to land:
People who are meant for you will never require you to shrink for clarity.
You don’t owe anyone explanations for your boundaries, your healing, or your evolution.
You don’t need permission to rise.
There is a version of you waiting on the other side of
“I said what I said.”
And she is worth becoming.
Thank you for spending this time with me today.
I honor your growth, your courage, and the woman you’re becoming.
Happy Thanksgiving, my love.
May you walk into this next chapter unexplainable, unapologetic, and unstoppable.

In this episode, we’re talking about the soft life — but not the cute, curated, aesthetic version social media sells you. We’re talking about the real soft life. The one that starts in your nervous system. The one your body has to learn after a lifetime of survival, chaos, responsibility, and emotional overworking.
Most women say they want softness… but no one talks about how uncomfortable it feels when it finally shows up. Peace feels foreign. Calm feels suspicious. Consistency feels unreal. Rest feels wrong. And it’s not because you’re “difficult” — it’s because nobody prepared you for a life where you didn’t have to be on high alert.
In this episode, we break down:
• Why softness is a learned skill
• Why survival mode becomes your default
• How your nervous system responds to peace like it’s danger
• Why healthy love can feel triggering at first
• What it’s like to meet someone who loves you softly
• The internal shift that begins your real soft life
• The habits women hold onto that block softness
• How to actually allow softness into your life
We go deep into the emotional side of softness — the part nobody sees, nobody teaches, and nobody warns you about. The part where your body has to unlearn hyper-independence, lower its armor, and finally feel safe receiving the same love you’ve always given others.
This episode is for every woman who has been strong her entire life… every woman who grew up in chaos or responsibility… every woman learning to let her nervous system rest after years of survival.
You don’t have to earn softness.
You don’t have to prove you deserve peace.
You’ve carried enough.
You’ve fought enough.
You’ve survived enough.
The soft life isn’t something you find — it’s something you learn to allow.
If this episode speaks to you, share it with another woman who needs permission to breathe again.
And if you want a space where softness is safe — a place where you can heal, grow, and finally rest — come join me inside The House of Spice.
I love you, my love.
See you in the next episode.
