Throughout our lives, we are all faced with various decisions, some more difficult than others. Once we’ve made the decision to follow Jesus, we’re called to not only address Him as Lord but also to obey Him as Lord—choosing to give up our will to embrace His. Jesus submitted Himself to the will of the Father and was obedient to the point of enduring suffering so that we may have life. He knew that His temporary suffering would lead to sharing eternal joy with all who would be saved through Him.
