In this episode I call my cousin, Erin, and I tell her a joke.

Erin is my littlest cousin (though yes, very much a full grown adult), and she's someone I am so proud to be related to. Erin lives in Boston and works with people experiencing homelessness, and I was lucky enough to visit her and her workplace last year. You know how you can tell when someone is really respected and good at their job by the way their colleagues interact with them? Yeah, that. She's amazing. Can't wait for this whole year to be done so I can see her again.

When we were little, Tristan and I used to ride our bikes down this bit of road where we KNEW we were going to be swooped and pecked, over and over, by an angry magpie. It was the meanest, most aggressive magpie I've ever seen. We tried to convince each other that we weren't afraid and it was no big deal, and we did it heaps of times to prove how cool we were. But I would like to come clean now and confess that I was terrified every single time.
