In this episode I call my kid cousin, Audrey, and I tell her a joke.

Audrey lives in Chicago, and one of the very best things about this pandemic is that she and I started sending each other messages while we were both stuck at home. I often wake up to pictures of Audrey making funny faces, or drawings that she's done while I've been asleep on the other side of the world. It's the very best way to start the day. Also, if 6-year-old Audrey can wear a face mask while she's figure skating, you have literally no excuse. Mask up!

Katie is a new-ish work recruit, and even though we spend about 30 hours a week on zoom calls together, we've only met in person one time. She is taller than I thought she would be. She's also funny, and diligent, and I'm very glad to have her on my team.

Gloria is one of the constants of my life. She made the dress I wore as the flower girl at my Mum's wedding, she bought me my first bra, she let me live with her when I first moved to the city to go to university, and she taught me that one cannot live on instant noodles alone. I love her very, very much.
