In this episode I call my friend, Paul, and I tell him a joke.

Paul and I had friends in common before we ever met, and for a while we worked on the same TV show but in different offices. So the first time I actually met Paul was at a work party where I was accidentally very drunk, and when I saw him I pointed and yelled "I KNOW YOU". Great first impression. Anyway, now we actually know each other and Paul is talented and funny and lovely. In this episode I call my friend, Sacha, and I tell her a joke.

Sacha completed her PhD thesis last year, and she is now a Doctor of Philosophy. Completing a PhD thesis looks extremely, very, unbelievably hard from the outside, and it was incredible to watch her power and persevere through it. Sacha is also the reason I know what the word "Cynophilist" means, and it's a very good word to know.

David is an anthropologist, and one of the most interesting people I know. We mostly see each other when participating in role-playing games, and it is super cool to play with him, because he asks questions and heads down story paths I would never think to even try. Also, he is brave enough to be playing zombie video games during a pandemic, which I simply cannot fathom and am completely impressed by.
