Join us for a very special Christmas episode of I Love to Tell the Story.

Because Christmas is best celebrated with family, we wanted to invite you into ours.

Dusty and his wife, LaVonne—along with their daughters and grandkids—join Dave and Cindi and their kids for a meaningful time together, filled with stories, laughter, music, and even a special announcement.

We’re also joined by a recent guest on the podcast, Jimmy Fortune. After living next door to Dave for more than 20 years, Jimmy has truly become family, and we’re grateful to share this celebration with him.

These are the moments that linger long after the season ends—the voices, the joy, and the memories made around the table.

At its heart, Christmas is a story of hope, love, and God drawing near—a reminder that we are never alone. In the midst of the season’s busyness, we invite you to slow down and join us for an I Love to Tell the Story family Christmas.

  • Travis Cottrell - I Love To Tell the Story

Get ready—this week’s episode of I Love To Tell the Story is one you won’t want to miss as Dave and Dusty sit down with their longtime friend, Travis Cottrell.

For more than 25 years, Travis has been one of the most influential voices in Christian music, leading worship for Beth Moore’s Living Proof Ministries and shaping the sound of worship for countless believers.

Travis has written and arranged music for the local church, authored multiple books, and performed and recorded in iconic venues like Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Abbey Road. In 2013, he was honored with Belmont University’s prestigious Encore Award, celebrating his outstanding contributions to the world of music.

And yet—despite all of this—Travis remains faithfully rooted at his home church, Brentwood Baptist in Brentwood, TN, where he continues to serve as worship leader every Sunday.

  • Steve Gilreath - I Love To Tell the Story

“Where do you start when you build a museum?”

With those words, Steve Gilreath, Executive Director of the brand-new Christian and Gospel Music Museum in downtown Nashville, opened the ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 3, 2025.

On this new episode of I Love To Tell the Story, Dave and Dusty take the cameras to the museum for a fascinating, behind-the-scenes conversation with the one person who can truly answer that question. It’s an inspiring, can’t-miss look at passion, purpose, and the making of something extraordinary.

It’s almost as if Steve has spent his entire life crafting the perfect résumé for this moment—this unique challenge and opportunity to become the caretaker of the story.

Over the last three decades, his credits include a decade as the Producer of the Dove Awards, as well as a White House special presented by the GMA hosted by President George W. Bush featuring CeCe Winans, Bill Gaither, Michael W. Smith, Blind Boys of Alabama, Steven Curtis Chapman and more.

He also founded the K-LOVE On Demand Network, creating hundreds of new shows that feature music in unique settings, including a chance to direct four different shows from Red Rocks Amphitheater. The 2023 event with 10 artists premiered in theaters nationwide as a Fathom Event.
