Conflict is defined as a serious disagreement or argument. There are no relationships, whether family or friend, that are 100% free of conflict. It's how you handle the conflict that can make or break the relationship. Join us at the Firepit as we discuss our conflicts with our birth family, and no one is off limits. We will discuss our conflicts with Ann, Sonny, and our siblings. Don't worry, we don't just harp on the negative! We actually give some actionable strategies to help build a more positive relationship and avoid additional conflict. We know that so many members of the adoptee community have experienced conflict with their first/birth families. And, we understand that those first/birth families may not know how to handle these newly formed relationships. We hope this helps!! Remember, while conflict is inevitable, combat is an option.
