In this episode, we’re talking about an exciting new approach in IBD research—single-cell omics. Basically, instead of looking at gut tissue as one big mix of cells, scientists can now study individual cells to see what each one is doing during inflammation. This has helped uncover new cell types, understand why complications like strictures or fistulas happen, and even figure out why some treatments don’t work for everyone. It’s early days, but this research could lead to more personalized and effective care for people with Crohn’s and Colitis!
