The second pillar opens up large datasets for research, innovation and policymaking. Researchers will no longer have to guess whether relevant data even exists. 

Through a European catalogue, datasets become discoverable and accessible via new health data access bodies. Dorazil emphasises that privacy protection is at the core of the entire design.
