  • What If You Lack Vision?

On last week's episode of Identity Advantage, we emphasized the reasons you should write your vision down. But what if you don't exactly have a vision or a goal for this year, or in five years? How do you get started?

This is the question Daphne and Angie strive to answer on this podcast. For sure we know God has a plan for every person. The Bible says, "[God] has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began" (2 Timothy 1:9). So the question isn't, "Is there a plan for my life?" That's a definite YES!

But there are questions you can ask yourself to navigate to the desires and plans God has placed in your heart, for your life. Hope this helps!

  • Why Writing the Vision is So Important

HAPPY NEW YEAR! For our first podcast of 2017, it seemed appropriate to share one of the things we do each year to set goals and stretch our faith.

Habakkuk 2:2-3 reminds us to write the vision down. So in this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about why journaling is so important to our faith. You'll even receive some how-to's and why's that will help motivate you!

Start your year right! And watch God's faithfulness in action!

  • Be This or That

It's hard to have respect for someone that isn't consistent. And this is true of the enemy too.

In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about how hard it is for a person to exercise their authority over the devil when they struggle with their identity or they aren't consistent in doing so. The evil spirit in Acts 19 said, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?" (Acts 19:15).

Whether it's in the home or on the job, it's so important to know who you are and be consistent in your life. Riding the fence will get you nowhere. Because in the end, it's not about who screamed the loudest or threw the biggest fit -- rewards belong to the consistent.

  • Had I Not Learned Christ
After celebrating 100 episodes, it seems fitting to go back to the beginning and remind ourselves what we felt was important enough to start this podcast in the first place! In this episode, Daphne and Angie talk about "Why Identity Advantage?" In other words, what is the advantage of knowing your identity (in Christ)? We'll also take a brief look at why we feel these basics are important for every believer:
    • Understanding Righteousness (Identity)
    • Understanding Deception (Wisdom)
    • Understanding Authority (Victory)
One of the things we both can testify of is this: Had we not learned Christ (meaning, who He is and what His Word says), we would not be where we are today. Click here to Listen to Episode in your Browser

  • Take Your Place in Christ

Throw the confetti! Toot the horns! We are thrilled to have 100 podcast episodes under our belt on IDENTITY ADVANTAGE! And what other way to celebrate than with a very special guest and mentor in our lives -- Ms. Trina Hankins.

In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne asks Trina about finding her identity in Christ as a young girl and how that has impacted the rest of her life and family. Trina, and her husband, Mark Hankins, travel all over the world helping people understand the riches of God's mercy, how to take their place in Christ, understand the power of the blood of Jesus, and the joy of our salvation! Not only will you be blessed and encouraged by this week's conversation, but we highly recommend you follow Pastor Mark & Trina on social media, order their books and CDs, and support their ministry at markhankins.org.

  • A Conversation About Deception

Paul said something interesting in his second letter to the Corinthians church: "But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ" (2 Corinthians 11:3).

    Simplicity? What did he mean?

In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about deception (especially religious deception) and answer this question about the simplicity referenced in this verse. Deception comes in many forms, but the craziest part is how do you know if you're deceived? Or how do you resist falling into it?

  • It Took Courage

The United States election results have shocked and surprised many people, but in retrospect, we realize it took a spirit of courage to win.

In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about our identification with righteousness and why courage is so important to our faith -- especially in the days, weeks, and years to come. By definition, courage describes the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty. But it is also means to have the courage of one's convictions, especially in spite of criticism.

The polls are closed. The curtain is removed. What will we do now? Will we be brave and act upon our righteousness (our identity in Christ)? Let's hope so.

  • Behind Enemy Lines

Daphne's newest book, Facing the Enemy: Strategies for Living Victoriously Behind Enemy Lines, released this week so what better topic to discuss on Identity Advantage!

In this episode, Daphne and Angie talk about why the game of chess is used as a backdrop to this book. The opening chapter begins with a quote from Phiona Mutesi, who said, "Chess is a lot like life... one wrong move changes everything." The same is true of our spiritual lives. Yet too many Christians have NOT been trained to discern the world around them, their place and purpose in the world, and the importance of holding ground.

God wants all of us equipped to face our enemy with a faith that will startle hell and bless humanity! Get ready!

  • Full Access

Did you know you have full access to EVERYTHING God has to offer you in Christ? It's true! Jesus said He was the Vine and we are the branches (connected to Him). And then EW Kenyon made a smart observation. He said, "No branch is any closer to the Vine than another branch."

In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about how amazing this truth is! In other words, we don't have to envy others who look like they walk in more peace or faith than us. All we have to do is first, realize you have access (FULL access to every promise of God), and secondly, tap into it!

This discussion will encourage your faith, help you recognize where you might be "hitchhiking" on someone else's faith, and push you to latch on to everything God has given you in Christ!

  • How Do You Pray Without Ceasing?

Pray without ceasing? Who has time, right?

Wrong... This week's podcast is about relationship. People don't understand that prayer is our communication with God, and as children of God, prayer is an important aspect of our identity and knowing who we are in Christ.

In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie ask and answer the question: How do you pray without ceasing, according to 1 Thessalonians 5:17? One answer is in knowing that prayer is a state of being -- it's not always the intentional, set-aside-time. To pray without ceasing describes your understanding of how to approach God and that you can do so anywhere, at any time!

If you've lacked confidence in your prayers, or wrestled with why answered prayer is taking so long, you need to listen in to this episode.
