Podfic Narration Time – “Tell Me What’s Wrong” by ArthursKnight

Thanks to Arthur (ArthursKnight) for suggesting this rare pair fic — Ketch/Dean — of his to narrate. It’s a short little Omegaverse story with Omega!Dean and Alpha!Ketch. I ask that anyone who listens suspends their disbelief when you hear me as Ketch. I tried to go for more of the character tone than imitation (I am not the best at accents). My narration is merely an inspirational interpretation.

Please visit the fic (and all of Arthur’s work) on AO3 and give it a kudo and comment - it deserves a ton of praise!

~ Sandra

Ketch/Dean

Summary:

Dean is nervous about mating with Ketch, and they talk it out.

Wait! What?!? An episode where Sandra and Kasey don’t focus on Sam and Dean? Yep.

Known as heavenssexiestangel on tumblr, Arthur’s bio makes it quite clear that Dean Winchester deserved better, Gadreel is their dearly beloved, and they are an Arthur Ketch apologist. As ArthursKnight on AO3, he’s been publishing fanfiction since 2015, with 75 works for fandoms that include Supernatural, MacGyver and The Walking Dead. He is also a talented artist and Manta Ray for the SPN FanFic Pond. Where does he find the time?

Have a listen and learn about the rarest of shipping pairs and Arthur’s mission to shine the spotlight on his beloved Ree.

Some of Arthur’s FanFic Author Friends and RarePair Recs:

Comfortably Queer - A Supernatural Fanzine - "Comfortably Queer" is a purely digital Supernatural Zine focusing on portraying the joys of being a Queer Person with the Characters of CW's Supernatural. A Safe FanFic Space for Minors.

Sandra narrated Arthur's story "Stay the Night" (Gadreel/Dean - Explicit) last year. Have a listen or give it a read!

Kasey wanted all the details on Sandra’s foray into the wild world of writing challenges in 2023. There was a lot of banging and a lot of filling. Not really. Sandra’s writing was pretty tame for her fic creations. They did have one thing in common, though. You’ll never guess.

Kasey and Sandra are thrilled to share this lively conversation with a Wincest author who has run away with their collective hearts (and numerous marriage proposals). Known as runawaydr3amer, this former LiveJournal fic poster bestowed AO3 users with the gift of her older fics in 2022. Then, in 2023, she completed the legitimate epic that is the Sandman ‘verse. Dreamer is an amazing author who can provide details and nuances in every single ounce of angst and pining and fluff and smut when it comes to Sam and Dean.

Okay, so this interview took about three attempts to get recorded. Life and time zones continued to throw a spanner in the works. Over the course of those months, Kasey also had a name change (explained in the intro). But by Chuck, Kasey and Sandra were finally able to complete this fun and insightful chat with Dreamer. But don’t think they’re done yet. There’ll be a Gently Taking Authors To Task episode with Dreamer focusing on the Sandman ‘verse in the near future!

You can find all of runawaydr3amer’s works here on AO3.

Sandra and Kasey were enthralled (and at some points verging on violence) with the SPN conventions stories regaled by their guest, Jessica. Seriously, this talented artist has some awesome convention mojo regarding J2 interactions. Call it “The Jessica Effect.” They talked about CharlotteCon, HawaiiCon, the Pride art Jessica created for the podcast, and all the Jessica/Jared moments that stirred up some thoughts from Kasey. This is a long one, and they aren’t even sorry about it. Enjoy!

Jessica’s Spotify playlist for “Priding in the Impala” artistic inspiration can be listened to here.

Sandra and Kasey are considering ranking rehab. The first step to recovery is admitting powerlessness over the addiction. Until they figure out the next step, there are still a bunch more episodes of Supernatural to rank. Get comfy as they share their tops and bottoms from Seasons 6 through 10.

Happy Unattached Drifter Christmas!

Sandra came across an amazing article by user frozen-delight on tumblr, with a theory that Dean is portrayed as the Female Other on Supernatural. After hearing about it, Kasey was fully on board to discuss it. Since a good portion of the article focused on sex scenes, well, you can guess where a large majority of the conversation was spent. You’re welcome!

Sandra and Karlee were put under a magic spell for this FanFic author interview. Known as WinchesterWytch on AO3, Kym has been posting Dean/Reader and Dean/OFC fics (AKA Dean Winchester’s Witch on tumblr) since 2019.

Self-proclaimed Dean Girl, Kym is also the creator and mod of Jacklesverse Bingo. Kym took the time to break all the bingo stuff down as well during the chat.

Want to learn more about Jacklesverse Bingo and participate? There's a second round open through mid-February, or you can get a card as a reader. You can find all the details here on tumblr.
