Idling In The Impala | a ride through SPN fandom and fanfiction

Sandra watched The Winchesters Pilot episode. She has thoughts. Karlee feigns being intrigued. Let’s see how this shakes out.

Who’s the best dad to have ever dadded on Supernatural? In this episode, we’ve got a battle between the heavyweights that had the most influence on the boys and arguably the biggest shoes to fill - it’s John Winchester vs. Bobby Singer. Who’ll win? Spoiler - for Karlee and Sandra, there’s only one right answer.

Sandra’s Table - Battle of the Dads thoughts/vid links

Per our discussion of what Dean had to do to make due when John left the boys for long periods - Did Jensen ever suggest that Dean turned tricks?

When Karlee and Sandra talked about all things British Men of Letters in the previous episode, it’s no surprise that the discussion veered a bit. It spiraled into the one thing everyone has an opinion on - food!

Ah, the British Men of Letters and their magic and gadgets. You know them, you love them? Sandra and Karlee are picking apart Season 12 and those pesky Brits. Karlee is tired of their countrymen being the bad guys, people!

It’s been more than a minute since Sandra and Karlee have provided some fic recommendations. Want to get these discussions back into regular rotation on the podcast. Hopefully, they’ve figured out a format that keeps episodes to a reasonable length. No promises, but it’s the effort that counts, right?

It’s another character deep dive. Sandra and Karlee are talking all about the Queen of Hell, Rowena. From initial impression to the amazing power she displayed in that petite frame!

It’s been a while but we had to finish our most and least favorite episodes of the Supernatural run. This time, we’re reviewing seasons 11 through 15. The burning question: will Sandra once again have Karlee screaming about how wrong her most favorite picks are? Tune in to find out.

Karlee and Sandra are finally giving the angel his due. All things Castiel, the Angel of Thursday, are discussed in this episode (yep, that includes our thoughts on Destiel).

We hope you are buckled up and ready for the ride because we are not turning this car around or stopping for pee breaks. Sandra and her husband Ted went to the Supernatural DC Convention (August 12th through the 14th) and are here to tell Karlee about it. It’s a long one!
