Idling In The Impala | a ride through SPN fandom and fanfiction

No, it’s not our Winchester boys that we’re gushing about this episode. We’re offroading with The Boys television show on Amazon, because, c’mon, you know why. We play catchup on Seasons 1 and 2 in this episode. And, we ranted so much about it that we had to make the discussion a two-parter. Stay tuned for the continuation on Thursday.

Tags: Fluff and Angst, Angst and Hurt/Comfort, Teen Romance

Summary: You'd known them since you were young, the memories of a perfect day and an unfinished teenage love story haunting you for years.

The drama that tore you apart and brought you all back together again told in turn by you, Sam, and then Dean.

A Collaboration with DandelionDreaming, KarleeKarma, and Drasna, each telling a piece of the story in turn from the Reader, Sam's, and then Dean's point of view.

(Read it on AO3 here)

Karlee and Sandra have brought up the lovely DandelionDreaming again and again when they speak of the fanfic authors they adore and admire. And, lucky them, she’s finally dropping in to talk about her works (the amazingness that is The Rookie Series), her writing process, and how this little threesome found each other and made the Impala’s backseat their safe haven.

So much to discuss that they had to break up this episode into two parts.

Sandra was witness to (almost) all that took place at the Supernatural Convention in New Jersey in April. She’s spilling the details with help from her husband, Ted, who was also in attendance (and, yes, he went willingly).

Sandra and Karlee can get sidetracked pretty easily. Squirrel! Moose! This episode is filled with our tangential conversations originally routed in all things SPN. From Alphas to Heaven then Brits and Baking, enjoy the madness and mayhem.

(Read in its entirety on AO3 here if you don't want to wait for the installments)

We all know the famous Supernatural taglines: “Saving People, Hunting Things, The Family Business” and “Family Don’t End In Blood.” But, honestly, with all the Winchesters have endured, shouldn’t it be WE NEED THERAPY? Sandra and Karlee have a lot to say in this family-themed discussion. So much to say, in fact, they had to break it up into two episodes. Enjoy part two!
