Idling In The Impala | a ride through SPN fandom and fanfiction

We all know the famous Supernatural taglines: “Saving People, Hunting Things, The Family Business” and “Family Don’t End In Blood.” But, honestly, with all the Winchesters have endured, shouldn’t it be WE NEED THERAPY? Sandra and Karlee have a lot to say in this family-themed discussion. So much to say, in fact, they had to break it up into two episodes. Enjoy part one!

Sandra and Karlee can get sidetracked pretty easily. Squirrel! Moose! This episode is filled with excerpts that haven’t made it into any of our main discussion topics yet. From end of show grumblings to Destiel musings and everything in between, enjoy the madness and mayhem.

It’s a deep dive into AO3 and everything tags. Our gripes, our writing experience on the fanfic platform, and what we’ve learned along the way. Get a glimpse into our depravity and what we tend to read again and again. (Okay, we really aren’t that bad!)

We’ve made our lists and we’re checking them twice - It’s our Top and Bottom 10 episodes from the first five seasons of Supernatural. We discussed, compared, and managed not to get into a knock-down-drag-out fight when all was said and done.

Sandra’s in the driver’s seat this episode. We talk about her love of Supernatural (how she took the roundabout way of appreciating one Dean Winchester) and her foray into SPN fanfic.

BTW - The screensaver that started it all.
