Today's episode is with Rachel Liverman the founder of Glowbar, a no fluff facial spa that offers 30 minute customizable facials at $65 dollars. This is Rachel's second time on the podcast and I invited her back because she, like the most of us, has REALLY been tested when it comes to her business. Glowbar had only been open for 9 months before having to shut down due to the pandemic. Her business was entirely closed for 6 months since facials were deemed "phase-less" in New York and still found a way to pivot quickly, work on the foundation of her business and just last week she opened her second location now that facials are finally allowed in NY again and I just knew I had to have her on to talk about resilience and what this experience has taught her.
On this episode I'm talking to her about the rollercoaster that was these 6 months, how she continued to stay so positive, the biggest learnings she's taken during this time, how she rallied her community to get Governor Cuomo's attention when he was ignoring the spa industry as a whole and of course, I ask her if her active ingredient has changed at all since the last time we spoke.
