So Miami Heat Meyers Leonard screams an anti-semitic slur and it takes days for any action from the NBA or the Miami Heat.  Then, a miniscule fine and a few days off.  That's it.  And no reaction to speak of from the most outspoken players in the league.  No uproar from various organizations screaming racism, literally crickets.  What's happening to our systems of consequence and conscience?  Hear me out on today's rant.

Early in my career, I spent some time in Decatur, Illinois at a TV station in that region that was responsible for coverage of pretty much everything that took place in the state.  Chicago, St Louis, major sports and incredible collegiate teams.  One of the gentlemen I worked with was Doug Wolf.  Here's where it gets interesting. What is it with this Royal couple garbage?  It's everywhere.  Front page of everything I'm looking at.  Who the hell cares?  Isn't there something we could be doing productively?  Enough already.  I hate it.  The Players Championship can't start soon enough.  I'm recording it so I don't have to see any more of the Royal yahoos being interviewed by some other yahoo asking the same questions as every other yahoo. And then I'll watch re-runs of the Players Championship until it's safe to turn on my computer or TV again.  I have some perspective on this in today's rant.

So we've seen a couple of stars go down just before the big NBA All Star game for getting haircuts from a stylist that was Covid positive.  Too bad for Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.  They're out.  Not even in the stadium but it's what LeBron James of the LA Lakers had to say about getting the vaccine that blew me away.  His comments about the Covid-19 vaccination are the topic of today's rant. James Harden, DeShaun Watson, J.J. Watt, and now Russell Wilson.  All multi-millionaires and wanting out of their respective teams and cities.  What's wrong with pro-sports today?  The world is in crisis and sports are one place a fan can go for some pleasure but these guys apparently could care less about the city, the team, the contract and worst of all, the fans.  It's a maddening, saddening path things seem to be headed down in professional sports today.

Let me help you make this decision and I'm just going to use a couple of examples to let you know my thoughts.  History is the best predictor of the future.  Just  remember another team with one of the best records in the west, the Phoenix Suns .
