Wow.  Talk about a great guy.  You've got to join the conversation today with Charles Davis as he's got a great story of his path to success, his southern upbringing and the beliefs he holds true to his good fortune and success in his career.  He's currently an analyst on CBS and The NFL Network, has worked on Fox Sports, The Golf Channel and ESPN. Yup. You read that right.  It's not often I have back to back Rants on the same team but yesterday it was James Harden moaning about the Houston Rocket's culture and today Russell Westbrook is all over the sports news about wanting out.  Trade 'em both and rebuild.  I'll tell you why in today's rant.

No, that's not sacrilegious.  It's the truth.  James Harden and playoff championships are synonymous, right?  Wrong!  How many Championships has Hardin won with the Houston Rockets?  Count 'em.  It's easy.  No fingers.  None. Zip.  Zilch.  Nada.  So why are he and Russell Westbrook balking about the direction of the team?  Time for a change?  Here what I have to say in today's rant.

Hey Jerry, I think you should step away from both teams, the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls and do Chicago a favor.  Take your buddy Tony LaRussa with you. What a pathetic situation for the fans. Something is not right. Nah, not gonna work for me.  I'll tell you why in today's rant.

Yeah, it's a big win, yeah, Drew Brees may be the man to take the Saints marching in to the Super Bowl but what's up with Jameis Winston?  C'mon.  This eating a win is childish.  Grow up.  Hear my thoughts about Drew, the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and of course, this awkward eating a win thing on today's rant.

This is a special conversation for me as Neil was calling the Chicago Bulls games for most of their Championship teams.  He lived through "The Last Dance" as a participant, not a bystander.  Nearly 40 years as a play-by-play guy and 29 with Chicago.  Oh what a great time that must have been watching Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen do their thing.  We'll talk about many of the "greats" he got to see, get a little personal with him and close out with questions from you, the listeners.  I think you're going to enjoy today's show.

What a great game.  Notre Dame and Clemson go into double overtime but how do you spoil a great experience?  Keep stopping it.  C'mon.  Replay after replay after replay.  Enough already. College ball has to change their replay protocol.  It came close to ruining the game for me.  Yeah, that kind of stuff just sets me off.  It's goofy.  Hear my suggestion on today's rant.

As a young sports journalist travel was everything and doing what you had to do to get an interview was part of the thrill of the job.  But travel is done.  At least for the foreseeable future.  Interviewing players like Steve Garvey, and Jack Clark.  Or Walter Payton and Mike Ditka when the Chicago Bears were all that.  Those are fond memories.  But what does that look like going forward?  How will tomorrow's new breed of sports journalists function?  ESPN just laid off 300 people.  Things are changing.  Let's talk about that today.

What is wrong  with MLB?  Enough already.  Why would you even think anyone would pay attention to your show, The Gold Glove Awards, up against the Presidential election returns?  Not smart.  And neither are the three blind NFL wives who think somebody cares about what they have to say about their husbands.
