That's right. Big game with the New Orleans Saints for the Chicago Bears looking for redemption from either Monday night's embarrassment or last year's big loss to the Saints. Javon Wims decides he'll get even with Chauncy Gardner Johnson for knocking off his mouthgard... with two sucker punches to the head. Brilliant. And then gets suspended. And then appeals it. You have got to be kidding me. I have something to say about that in today's rant.

Two time Sacramento Kings Coach, General Manager of the Sacramento Monarchs and my dear friend and broadcast partner for the past 20 years, Jerry Reynolds and I are going to have some fun today. Takes a little of the anxiety of the election off and gives me the opportunity to share some stories with a great guy. Wait 'til you hear what he has to say about Bill Russell or Larry Bird, Ralph Sampson and LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers. If you're a Sacramento Kings fan, you've got to be a fan of Jerry. I think you'll really enjoy joining us for today's conversation.

That's right. I could rant on so many other things but I-am-sick-and-tired of politicians ripping the other person to shreds and never telling me why I should vote for them. Enough already. Put up or shut up. I am fed up with it all.

Alright already. I know. Lots going on so I had to touch on a few things. No, I don't think Dan Mullen should be allowed to attend the big NCAA Florida Gators vs Georgia Bulldogs game. No, I don't think the Detroit Lions have a chance in the next few years to get close to a playoff game. No, I don't think the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to miss the Superbowl unless something unfortunate happens to them. Lots to talk about today.

So 80 year old Nicklaus shares who he's voted for with some commentary and all of a sudden the "Golden Bear" has become a beast. C'mon. He's not wearing a MAGA hat on the course or suggesting anything more than his opinion off the course. And all of a sudden he's a bad guy? What is happening, and I mean that, what is happening to our country? Listen to my thoughts and comparisons on my rant today.

A dear friend and an incredible human being, Sean Salisbury and I talk about his professional sports career, his professional broadcasting career, his crash to the bottom and now his drive to regain what he once had. Only this time it's a little different. From USC to a championship in the Canadian Football League, ESPN sports and now Houston Radio, his story is one that should be shared with anybody needing inspiration and hope. I think you'll appreciate what he has to say.

So, for all the world to see, a confirmed Coronavirus case named Justin Turner intentionally goes out on the field to celebrate a World Series victory hugging and kissing after being pulled from the game for a positive test. We all watched and nobody stopped it. Horrible look for MLB. Horrible look for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Nearly as bad are the moves by the Tampa Bay Rays for their apparent reliance on what appeared to be analytics vs common sense and solid coaching in decisions made that likely cost them the game. Oh boy am I fired up. This is a huge black eye on the sport for so many reasons. Let me explain...

So let me help you all understand some things about the NBA. It's not a charity. Playing the game is how the league generates revenue to pay the players. Danny Green of the Los Angeles Lakers thinks 8 weeks off before starting up the season again is too short. I got some news for ya, Danny. I'll tell you in today's rant.

We started our careers very close to each other in Sacramento and have been friends for over 30 years. I'm talking with Marcos Breton of the Sacramento Bee about sports and the changes over the years on how games are covered. His love of baseball. The challenges facing sports coverage going forward with regard to the changing media landscape and the changes in player participation. We'll even cover some of baseball's greats and tough hall of fame decisions. And finally, the Sacramento Kings. We both have some strong opinions about where the team has been and where it's going. I think you'll enjoy the conversation.
