With FX's new series Legion, the X-Men franchise is venturing into the live action television realm. Developed in conjunction with Marvel and X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner and created by Noah Hawley, Legion is a far cry from the depiction of the X-Men that fans of the film series are likely used to. Legion delves into the mind of David Haller (Dan Stevens), who is a mutant with abilities but believes he is mentally ill.

Publisher AfterShock Comics boasts a pretty darned impressive roster of talent, and that trend is only continuing with AfterShock's latest new comic book series, Eleanor & The Egret. This new fantasy series pairs writer John Layman (Chew) with artist Sam Keith (The Maxx) as they craft a new universe full of steampunk technology, talking animals and art thieves. It's certainly a unique addition to AfterShock's growing lineup, and one that almost defies description.

The X-Men world is rapidly expanding into television these days. FX is about to launch Legion, from Fargo’s Noah Hawley – focused on Professor X’s son from the comics – while the FOX network is developing a project from Burn Notice Matt Nix, about parents going on the run with their children, when it’s discovered they’re mutants.

Earlier this week actor-filmmaker Ben Affleck seemed to confirm on TV that he will indeed direct The Batman this year. Now he's back to hedging, but this time explaining a very specific concern he needs dealt with before he steps on set. "I know what’s it's like to be in the suit," Affleck told USA Today. "We’ll have to modify the suit to make it a little bit easier to put on and take off. When you are in it, you can be sweating, crazy and exhausted, do your part and walk away.
